yall definately find a diet buddy...or friend in your area or neighborhood. My boyfriend and I started joint dieting 2 months ago. We are older than most of you, so it may be a little easier for us to work on it together, but it helps. Together, we weigh infront of each other each week, keep a chart and talk everyday about what we ate. When you buddyup with someone you trust, you are less likely to cheat and stick to it. Together we have lost 45 lbs!!! And counting. We were both always overweight in our teens and now that we are older and about to get married and have children, I don't want to have to tell my kids that I can't play with them cause I am too tired. I think it will all click when people realize that it is there health that they are putting at risk when they are not overweight rather than risking having a date to prom or not. What is more difficult, going years and ... (view more)

When i was 11 i weight 99 lbs. and when i turned 12 and hit puberty i started eating more and more. i quickly went from 100 to 130 when my docter told me i needed to loose weight i lose 20 lbs. and was back to 110. After a summer of sitting around i was 135. i didnt realize i gained weight. When i was 14 i went from 130 to 159 and thats where i am now. and thats where i am nowi have very supporitive friends and family and im popular and having an amazing loving boyfriend. I dont eat for emotional eating but just because i like food. Today for breakfast I had 3 doughnuts from Dukin Doughnuts, 2 Ego Waffles, and 2 pieces of leftover pizza from last night. Then about a hour later i got hungry again so i had a bag of popcorn. Then me and my boyfriend went out... (view more)

4 good quotes:-dont eat anything you'll regret tommorw-if i eat anything, i will eat everything, so i eat nothing-Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go-Do not give up on what you want most, for what you want at the moment.

Hey guys i was just sitting here thinking to myself at work (we're not busy at all...its quite boring) about the last time i cheated and bought a starbucks on my way to the bank. I know what happened and i think that i can give myself & others some advice that might stop cheating. When i splurged and bought the starbucks i had money with me (obviusely) and i guess it was the feeling of knowing i had the money and i COULD buy it that overwhelmed the shrinking "no its bad" feeling. So a simple solution to this would be dont put yourself in a suituation where you could buy sweets for no reason. I guess its hard to say stop carrying money but it really makes sense if you think about it. I saw a post on here earlier about going to the movies, and knowing what to not eat and it got me thinking that what if the person only brought enough for the ticket then they wouldnt be tempted to buy more. I dont know if im making sense or not but it kinda makes sense to me. I'll shush now. Toodles!

I had been dieting a few weeks and I was doing good, but this week I got depressed and totaly pigged out! It's bad and now I can't seem to get back to dieting, we're getting a pool soon so hopefully I can burn calories swimming and get back on the diet. I don't have much motivation so it's hard, no one is suporrting me. Especially my bf because he has got a fetish with this... chubbiness or whatever. I only want to lose enough weight to fit into a size 14 pants and maybe lose weight off my arms, by the way I am 5'4" 229 pounds. Any tips?

I HAVE AN IDEA--Ok when your family or whoever buys junk food, look at the nutrition facts on the package for the total fat. After reading that you will not want to eat them. You should have 30g of fat or less a day. A crispy cream glazed doughnut has 12 grams of fat, and most of the snack cakes have more than that!!!!
