Ht. 5'4'', Wt. S 210. C 205.5 G 185 - I have a tip..get together a pile of all good food. (yogurt, fruits, veggies, granola bars..ect)(((Good idea is some baked chips, put small amounts into indivual baggies and if you get a craving have one of the baggies, so you know your limit when your done with it!:) ))) Put all this food into a place in your kitchen that is easy to get too, maybe a shelf on your pantry, so you dont go looking through it and see all the bad stuff you can eat!

Ht. 5'7, Wt. s:185 c:154 g:160 - Hey guys! Well i just wanted to share some healthy snack ideas. They are ssoo good!! Ok, first, take a can of mandarin oranges and drain it. Then spread them out on a plate, and cover it with plastic wrap. Then freeze it overnight or for 3ish hours until they are completely frozen. You can also try this with cherries, grapes, or any other one of your favorite fruits. Sooo good. It almost tastes like a popsicle! Good luck and enjoy! ~x*Celeste*x

Ht. 5'7", Wt. 243 - hey i just found something i think y'all might like:
5 ways to make excersize fun!!!

1. You can meet new people. I once met a woman on the next treadmill and she should have been a stand-up comedienne. I don't know if the laughing or the walking burned more calories.

2. Turn around that bad mood. Did you know that exercise dissolves stress!

3.If you make walking your exercise of choice, you can check out the neighborhood for garden ideas.

4. People Watching... stay current in the fashion trends by walking around the mall. Yes, you are still exercising.

5. Exercise in the pool. Has to be the easiest and the most fun. Chances are you will forget that you are exercising at all.

Good Luck! Laterz!

Ht. 5' 3'', Wt. 130 - One of my tips for losing weight is..... When you start to think that your hungery but you know that you're not chew sugar-free gum. It makes you feel like you're eating something and you're really not. It also freshens your breath.

Ht. 5ft 9, Wt. 204 Goal 150/160 - i agree with mark, loose weight to be healthy, don't worry when you muck up, everyone does!
I founbd a way to stop you eating when you're not hungry, take up a musical instrument. I come from a musical family anyway, but was never really interested untill i got into the indie scene, I started playing guitar a month ago. When you want to sound good,(because ppl are always not as good as they want to be when coming to things like that!!!!!!!) you practice more and more. it doesn;t have to be expensive, just one you always wanted to play..... once you get your hands on one and you REALLY want to sound good, the more you practice, the more you practice, the better you get, AND the less unnecessary food you'll binge on when your bored. it might not help you, but it has me, I havent lost that much weight, but it's working slowly but surely :D

Hi, I haven't been on this site for a while, but last year I managed to lose around 10lbs, but then I gave up without meaning to. My friend was going to have a swimming party in December which was the thing that was making me want to do it, but it got cancelled. But I thought to myself, I'll keep going, but I never did. The 10lbs made a huge difference, even though I'm still not perfect. I got under the overweight mark for my height and age, and 4 or 5 people said to me "Have you lost weight?" Which was a fabulous feeling. I also felt more confident in smaller clothes. Anyway, it being the New Year and everything has inspired me to do it this time. No excuses, I need to get to my goal weight, which I don't even know what it is yet! I know I definetly want to lose at least a stone (14lbs) so i am going to aim to do this in 2 months, because if it is healthy to lose about 2lbs a week, then... (view more)

I have been here before, maybe 9-10 months ago. I gave up on dieting but I really want to get on it again. I weigh 250 pounds and am 5'6 or so. I try to cut back on what I eat but, like other people have said, its the temptation, especially around friends. if anyone can give me any tips it would be greatly appreciated. **********I read an article in a magazine and found this saying someone used as inspiration to lose weight. "Life is hard by the yard...by the inch, its a cinch." Meaning that if it is going to work you have to take it inch by inch and i understand that.

My weight has fluctuated over the past two years. I am 5'4" and I weigh anywhere between 120(lowest weight I've been at so far) to 145. Lately, I've been at a steady weight of about 133-135. I know I'm not fat, but I am overweight for my small frame. Every Thursday and Sunday, my close group of girlfriends and I all go out to dinner at a restaurant. This is a ritual for us, because most of us are at different schools right now and it's hard to see each other as often as we'd like. When we first started doing this, I GAINED so much weight! Restaurant portions are huge and everything seems so fattening! Thankfully, I've found a trick. I usually order a salad with some sort of chicken in it, and I ask for the dressing on the side so they don't put to much and I can limit how much is on there! I'm trying a protein diet right now, so I can build up muscle. I am trying to get back into the habit of exercising for 30 minutes twice a day, 3-4 times a week. Good luck everyone, and I hope you can all achieve your goals!!

I was just watching tv the other day and i saw this documentry about fast food and our health. i learned that cutting mayo from your hamburger can save you 23 grams of fat and 260 calories, and with out cheese it also saves you 11 grams of fat and 70 calories. so with out either of those a hamburger with fat free condiments s ok once in a while, with only 18 grams of fat and 290 calories (still isn't the best but look how much u can cut out). Also the salads searved from fast food restraunts, aren't that great and sometimes a hamburger can be a better choice. Especially the atkins salads, or anything with bacon-they are quite high in fat, even tho stated to have less carbs. Also some people think chicken burgers are better, and they are in most cases, btu burger kings chicken seems to have the most fat, and a hamburger with no mayo and cheese is a better choice. Just though I would share what i learned as i found it pretty suprising and interesting.

I honestly hope this doesn't offend anybody but I think that Americans are a whole lot fatter than Canadians. I think this because there is so much fast food in America and not nearly as much as fast food as in Canada. i also saw a survey thing and it said 40% of Americans are overweight and kids aged 5-19 are 87% overweight while canadians are only 16% overweight and kids aged 5-19 are only 8% overweight. I know there is more people in America than Canada but still thats like Half of america overweight. I am not trying to insult anybody or say they are fat because they are Americans I am trying to say that they promote more fast food than ever before. Do you know Americans have over 667 different fast food chains?!??? THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE! Canada has 121! I love America and when I used to go down there I would order a meal and it would come like it was for 5 people!!! Here in Canada... (view more)
