Ht. 5'10", Start: 17 st 12, Today: 17 st 12 (BMI: 36), Goal: 13 st 0 - Hi everyone, I used to come on this website about 9 years ago. I am still a rather big lady, but I am awfully glad that it is still going. I am now living away from my parents at university, so I have the temptation of having my own money, my own kitchen and my independence. I am now in my second year, my first year was difficult when it came to eating habits. My flatmates would want to take part in weekly take-out parties where we would all eat a take away together..I would also buy cheap, quick food but have always enjoyed cooking. The problem is also, that (even if I do say so myself..) I am very good at baking.. My housemates love it. But right now, enough is enough. I have cut out eating anything that comes from anything with eyes, so no meat, no fish, no dairy and no eggs. I'm practically vegan...but I'm no hippy, so it's simply for health reasons. I don't need ... (view more)  (Note: 17 st 12 is 250 lb.)

Ht. 5'6", Start: 254 lb, Today: 249 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 120 lb - WOW! haha do you think this is a fluke or am I just actually having success on a diet? I mean 5 pounds in 7 days... I really hope I can keep this up. I dont really know if I see any difference but as long as the weight is coming off I will be happy even if I dont see a difference for a while :)
I am still only eating when I am hungry (I think my stomach like on the inside might have shrunk because I feel like I actually cant eat that much because I feel full a lot sooner. lol) Yesterday I did some excersices with one of those stretchy band things (dont know what its called) and today I walked with my friend down to her house after school which isnt really that far but it wasnt nothing lol.
How is every one else doing? I think I am doing pretty good :)

Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 163 lb (BMI: 25), Goal: 155 lb - So I must have been majorly dehydrated because I was 163 Around November 27th, then had my time of the month, and afterward it said I was 165! I was pissed. But I avoided the scale for a week and I'm back down. I'm doing soooo well with my eating, it's the water intake that is my problem. As soon as I don't drink enough, my body holds on to all this water and my weight shoots up. Anyways, hoping to be around 160lbs by christmas, and at this rate I know I can do it. My clothes fit soo much better already. Hope you're all doing great! Happy Holidays :)

Ht. 5'2", Start: 193 lb, Today: 138 lb (BMI %tile: 88), Goal: 130 lb - hey guys (:
havent been on in a while, but i have since lost 7 more pounds. i am pretty darned happy with myself. :) i truly have come a long way. i remember when i decided to do something about my massive weight. i was nearly 200 pounds and that fact alone made me feel absolutley crumby. I even remember the date. It was December 9th, 2010. Now, nearly an entire year later, i am an entirely different person. I weigh 55 pounds lighter. I feel so much better physically and mentally. I also look healthier. Now, the doctor has informed me that I have made an incredible and drastic improvement. I am very proud. I still have a bit more weight to lose though, the journey isn't yet over. After I reach my current goal (to weigh 130), i think i want to set an additional goal to lose 10 more pounds and weigh 120. I think that is a healthy weight for myself. I am impressed with everyones... (view more)

Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 165.6 lb (BMI: 25), Goal: 155 lb - SWEET! So, now that I know I lost water weight, I'm down to 165.6 and steadily losing 0.2 pounds per day, so weekly i'll be losing 1.4 lbs. Definitely not an incredible loss but I know from experience that when I lose weight too fast, I gain it back and then some. This way, it will be steady consistent PERMANENT weight loss. I'm also starting a full time job at the hospital starting on Monday (just graduated college yaay!) So from 7am-3pm I will be busy and will be packing healthy low calorie lunches. It's just going to be hard not to snack at night which I am very used to. So at this rate, I'll be 160lbs by Christmas (mini goal) and then close to 155 by my 23rd birthday in January. I'm very positive right now that I can do this! Hope everyones doing great, good luck!

Ht. 5'5", Start: 157 lb, Today: 148 lb (BMI %tile: 88), Goal: 118 lb - I'm making progress... slow, but steady. I was watching the biggest loser, the ending anyway, the other day and I thought WOW! I do NOT wan to be as heavy as those people. It's scary! I like to challenge myself to lose along with them, especially toward the end when they weigh the same as me. And guess what! I wasn't sitting while I was watching. My dad just bought a stationary bike and I had 20 minutes while watching so I though...ah, I'll burn 100 calories. And while I was watching TV I forgot I was even pedaling and at the end I'd burned 300 calories. I'm going swimming tonight... gotta get that body for swim gym, right? Anyway, hang in there girlies, I'm doing my best. I'll post AWESOME smoothie recipes a little latter. Any advice is appreciated.

I haven't reached my goal weight...I'm setting new goals all the time. This weeks goals are to eat more fruits and veggies and drink more water. So far I am doing pretty good. How are things going for you?

A huge HUGE help to me is this amazing website called loseit.com It is a website that lets you enter in the food you have eaten and gives you the amount of calories you need to eat a day in order to (safely) lose weight! Every time you enter in something you eat, it tells you how many more calories you can eat that day to work towards your goal! It is so sweet! :) Hope this all helps! Good luck!

its also good to get in the habit of logging everything that you eat, that way no snacking can creep its way in, and if it does, it will stare you in the face! Try the food and fitness planner on webmd.com or just log it on a piece of paper you keep up somewhere.

Hey Brittany!
You already took the first step! You faced the truth (by weighing youself)...but you also came here! That means you're ready to start doing something about it. Good for you!
Losing weight is not an easy process at all, so the best thing to do is to start with small changes. Considering you're starting at 330lbs, even small changes are going to give you results.
So, for your first small change, I suggest you remember that EVERYTHING COUNTS! So what does that mean exactly? Well it's simple...everytime you drink water instead of juice/pop...everytime you walk somewhere instead of drive....everytime you skip dessert....everytime you swap in your fries on the side for veggies....everytime you cook for yourself instead of eating out....you are saving calories!! The more calories you aren't consuming the more pounds you'll lose.
A lot of times, we overlook a ... (view more)

I think you should weigh yourself and see where you are at. When trying to lose weight take it step by step.. don't cut out everything because when you do screw up you will majorly binge. It's hard but I know if you try you can do it. Good luck.
