Hey everyone! hoes it goin! i just had the urge to splurge but instead i came here. i am goin to try to eat well and exercise as much as i can. and i need this site to keep me inspired and motivated. i lost weight before i went from 150 to 135 but now i am 170! but the thing is i have gotten 4 inches taller since i gained all the weight. and i can carry my weight well so thank God i only look like i am 150 pounds. but i do want to get a little smaller around my waist. and get more muscular and have more energy to play with some of my younger cousins. i dont really have a special diet or exercise program but i am just goin to stay away from sweets, eat regular portion sizes only when i am hungry, and eat only when i am hungry. c u cant skip meals! i have triend skipping breakfast and lucnh before but the thing is then you eat way to much at dinner because u r so hungry! so yea and i am... Boy can I sympathize. I am 5'8 and weigh 205lbs. You see, with me. I get into random kicks. One day, I'll be depressed and won't eat anything hoping it will help, then the next, I'm like, "screw it, if some one doesn't like me the way I am, it's there problem" But I've realized it was my problem too. I am in love with theatre, and dance. Not being in shape, I can't do the things I love to the best of my ability. It's hard for me to see the time when I can be at the weight I desire, but unless you start taking the steps, you'll never get there. I know how easy it would be just to wish the weight away, but it won't happen. So, find some activity you love and keep to it, it will keep your mind off food and help you lose weight at the same time! Even though it may get hard, don't give up. It'll be worth it in the end. No matter how long it takes to get there. If it were easy, we wouldn't value it half as much. Good luck to you! i had exactly the same problem as u! i dieted ( but i did it the wrong way by starving myself) it was reallllllly hard, and i was hungry allll the time. i lost loads, and became reallllly thin. but i got fed up of not eating nice foods like my friends, so i stopped it. then i gained back the weight!!! which was soooo annoying. then i became reallly depressed, and didnt wanto go out wid my friends. i got so depressed i had to visit a counceller and it helped alot. but what i am doing now is im not dieting at all. simply eating all the right foods, and healthily and in proportion. i eat 'forbidden' foods when i feel like them, but i dont eat too much of them, if i feel like a chocolate bar, i will have one, but cut it in half. u just have to eat healthily, and i excercise for 3 hours a week. u can break it down though, to so many minutes a day! good luck!

Hello everyone. Im 16 ^ i guess it says that though eh? Anyways im 5'1 and I weigh 137 lbs as of today. I used to way more (160 something at my biggest) but lost alot of weigh last year (i was down to 127 at one point, yay.) Anyways Ive put a little bit of weight back on, and though im still happy, Id like to get into a little bit better shape and stuff. Just thought I would share this pointless story...more later.

don't know of anyways of keeping the motivation up,I
just think about how I want to look and feel and sometimes it helps.I'm 5'4 and 158 lbs.

Hi. I know what youre going through, I was losing weight but I'm starting to gain it back again too. I cant stop eating like crazy. Well I know this ism't much help but just do it little by little. Trust me, I know what youre going through.

Hey there!! Well, I have had sooo much trouble with losing weight...belive me...i've lost it, then gained it again. Right now im about 5'2" and, i used to weigh 170...but I lost 20 pounds over the summer(yay!!)and, now i weigh 150. Hey James, It really sucks that doctors sit there and tell you that you need to lose weight (which I'm sure you already knew) but then they don't do anything to help. What you haven't realized is that ... you lost 10 lbs. That's GREAT!!!! You CAN lose the weight!! Think about everything you eat, everything you do (moving/exercising) everyday. Write it down. Write when you eat, what, how much, even where you were. Even jot down how you felt (sad, happy, BORED) This will help you to become conscious every single day of what you are eating and then it makes you realize when, where & what your eating that is making you gain weight. james.. luisa is right. do it for yourself, not for others. if you want to diet. hold on till where you want it to be. dun give up in the middle.
