I've been trying to loose weight too
I would consider myself to be a big eater the thing i did most is sowly change the type of food I ate. Me and my friends all take popcorn and pasta to school etc
But we don't put anything like salt on our food. You should read fats and figures by Karen Daily (Australian author.)

If you want to lose weight, Find a calorie chart and make up meal plans, but first eat normal and figure out how many calories you consume in a day. Normal is around 2500 with excercise. Please, if you need any help with meal plans, e-mail me at redhair487@yahoo.com.
ps-a great calorie chart is available at www.ntwkrs.com/~mikev/chart1a.htm

First of all, yes, you should lose some weight. I'm your height, 18 lb lighter, and I still have a rather large stomach. Second, I used to do the exact same thing that you do (suck in, big shirts) but I seemed to gain more weight because of that. Finally, you may workout 3 hrs a day,but if you don't change your eating habits it won't mean anything. With a little determination you can do it.

Don't listen to your coach, you are thin. I know how it feels though because my ballet teachers always told me I was fat. You may want to think about whether its worth playing that sport, because your coach should NOT be saying that to you.

Be very, very wary of anything that claims this. Have tried umpteen of these such diets in the past - juice, cabbage soup, you name it. You do actually lose weight very quickly because you are losing water, but you do put it on again, very, very quickly. I sincerely hope I am wrong but I would be very, very cautious.

please don't give up.When I was a teenager,Iwas 125 , and could eat what ever I wanted and as much as I wanted. After I turned 20,that changed.I wasn't hanging out with my friends as often. Then before I knew it I had gained 20 lbs.About four years later and at my heavyest 205lbs.I deceiced to lose some weight. And I did.I got to 145.I stayed there for about five years.
Then I started to see-saw with my weight.Gain 40 ,lose 20, gain 30 and then lose some again. Then in March of 2000 Iwas back up to 193lbs.I was wearing 20's and 22,s.I didn't like myself very much. Here I was 37 years old.weighting 195.I knew the older Igot, the harder it would be.But I knew I had to lose weight.SO that March I started, Ihate to call it a diet, cause it wasn't really.I simpley ate less and did more.I like to work in my yards. When I'm out there I lose track of time. I'm busy and don't think of eatting.And... (view more)

I had a similar amount of weight to lose as you and I wanted to lose it fast! I also feel fat in a bathing suit. Well, I have lost about 14 pounds in 10 weeks. How did I do it? With my mum I kept a count of the amount of calories and fat I was eating and then kept to below a certain amount. We had to write everything down which got boring but we soon got used to it and it really helped. We looked at a website called www.room42.com to get an idea of how many calories I should be eating and we looked up lists on the Internet of how many calories different foods were. I drank lots more water, exercised a bit more and cut a lot of the rubbish food out of my diet. I now fill myself up on fruit and veg so I don't get hungry. I can still eat things like pizza and pasta and cakes but low calorie ones so I don't feel like I am missing out on too much. One word of warning because you said about... (view more)

Congrats! I have also gone from a 34 to 33 inch waist. I have lost about 7 pounds, but have worked out so I have gained 3 pounds from muscle. What I do is limit my calorie intake to 1500-1600 calories per day. room42.com has a calculator that tells you how many calories you need to gain, stay the same, or lose weight. It helps!!

Hon' it's muscles that you've got there. You have to just be happy with your legs. You are a strong girl and you obviously work hard at soccer. Athletic girls are beautiful too!

Hey! I know how you feel. I weigh in at 165 and I'm on a diet that I started a few days ago. If you have a chance, check out this months Reads Digest. They have an article on losing weight. I have a calorie diary,a motivation book (pictures of skinny people) and a goal paper. I figure if I eat no more than 1500 calories, I should lose weight. Maybe it will work for you too. But make sure that you do some research first.
prevention.com is a great web sight that I found. You can plan meals and excercise routines. You can also find out many calories you have burned with a special tool. TRY it. It just might work for you!
