I know how it is. I am 5'8' and weigh 158. I have found a exercise that you could do to help. It is called the bicycle. what you do is lay on the ground and act like your riding a bicycle. When your left leg is pushed out your left elbo, like a crunch, needs to touch your right knee. it sounds weird but it actually helps.

All I can say is keep trying until you find something that works for you. It doesn't matter how much you weigh or what size you are as long as you are happy with yourself. I would suggest eating regular and trying things like lifting weights and aerobics. Even try walking for a half hour a day. Anything that gets you moving will help you feel better and lose weight.

Tae-bo is THE best way to lose weight and get soo toned. I got them on info-mercials late at night. But i saw a bunch of them at the Academy Stores. You'll need three tapes, the instructional, the beginner, and advanced. Those should get you going. there's different versions, and im doing the live ones, their great.

if you like to eat a lot then eat a lot of fruits and veggies. if you must have something junky foody type only have one a day. exercising is not that bad. you don't have to exercise everyday but i do. try exercises 3 times a day for half an hour. if half an hour it too long for you break it up. do 15 min in the morning and then 15 more in the evening. or you can break it up more by 15 min a day 6 days a week. whatever works best for you.

walking is one of the best exercises you can do. it tones all your body, not like weight training which targets spots, and its really easy to see and feel the results. When i first started walking i could only go a short way, now after three weeks i can go for much longer. you wont actually see the results this fast but when youve just completed your circuit in half the time and dont feel exhausted its a real push to keep going. keep eating healthy, and dont skimp on the water, its really immportant that you drink 9 glasses a day. keep us posted, luv rachel

Hi I just wanted to say that I don't think using weight is necessarily bad... over using them might be. I think the best way to get the most out of excercise is not to over do it , I use small hand weights and dont try to strain my body . using them for about 30 min a day might be good... and lots of water!! (I'm the water queen) lol Hope this helps Good luck!! BRANDY

Try looking around these boards for help and use their tips! Also try to get some exercise. It doesn't have to be horrible, take a nice long walk sometime during the day for about half an hour. Do this everyday and you will see result soon!

Try running in place for 5-20 minutes a day. If you want you can run short periods then rest. Try doing sets of 50 jumping jacks working your way up to 10 sets. Also try taebo. It's a kickboxing/aerobic workout video. It works really well, it's fun, and afterward you feel like you can kick peoples buts. Also try push ups for weight resistance training such as sets of 10 working your way up to 10 sets at a time. Good luck!

You don't have to go to a gym to get a good workout. Your parents probably already know that. All you need is a place to run or do aerobics and you can challenge yourself. Try to run 5 minutes without stopping working your way up to 20 minutes at a time. OR you can dance to your favorite music for a half an hour. This will keep you challenged and fit.

If you dont have time to go to the gym or go running, just do some crunches, push ups, and leg lifts in the mourning when you wake up and at night before you go to bed. If you have any hand weights like 5 pounds or so, try using them a well.

ok you guys, this is what i did to lose weight. First i counted calories. I allowed myself a certain number a day averaging out to between 1400 and 1800. Next, i excercised. I didn't start doing this until my 2nd month, but i wished i would have started sooner. Start a sport, even if i doesn't have a team. The best one for me was playing basketball or shooting hoops for 45 minutes a day. But i live in Michigan and it snows from November to March, so i needed something else too. I really disliked running, but that really was the only thing i could do inside, so i took to running in place for 5-15 minutes a day. I will almost garentee that you will lose 2 pounds in a week if you eat 1600 calories a day and run 12 minutes a day without walking. Same goes for eating 1600 calories a day and walking for a half an hour. I don't have a treadmill, so i have to run in place, but it's a great... (view more)

Last spring i did Taebo everyday, 45 or 30mins, for a few months. And i really thought it helped me. It helps you tone up. Good luck with it! I truely think Taebo is a great way to keep in shape :)
