First of all, don't think you HAVE to exercise to 2 to 3 hours a day. That's crap!! I walk my golden retreiver for 1/2 an hour a day or play with her in the back yard (she likes to be chased), walk with my mom, (she also dances with me to the Vanga Boys party CD - is a mover), SCOOTERING is GREAT!! Anything that you can do, everyday for a 1/2 an hour. Drink tons of ice water and no matter what, don't give up your 1/2 hour. That's your time, girlfriend. Your time and space to do something for yourself. You will be amazed at how good you feel!!

Try sit-ups or stomach crunches. Doing those at least 50+ times a day for an hour can really help. Sit-ups help flatten your stomach and strengthen it.

A couple of great exercises/sports to try out would be cycling and kickboxing. Cycling basically helps trim your thighs and bum. Kickboxing also does the same, but also helps the upper half of your body. I say you sure give it a try. Look for classes in your area that teach kickboxing. It helps you loose weight, and it's also fun.

Why about trying to get active in sports? Getting active can really help you loose some weight. Or maybe do some basic stuff, like walking, running, or just riding your bike. There's lots of different ways to loose weight, but it depends what you prefer.

I know everyone is probably tired of hearing me say this... but it is SO true... and it's worked WONDERS with me (I'm now known (to myself) as wonder-woman!:) )Try lifting weights... you're too young to go to a gym.. so just get some weight magazines and dumbells... and pump some iron at home. I'm 5'2 and 170... and have lost 10 pounds by just lifting weights and eating healthier (fruits and veggies.. ya know). I used to have flabby arms and thighs... and now they are taking on more definition!!! It really works! So... give that a try.

Hey.... just a little note... I've lost 5 pounds... woo hoo... pay myself on the back :) Basically just trying to change my lifestyle, exercising more and eating fruits and veggies. Water water water... the norm and all. I was thinking about something today, when I was losing a ton of weight and keeping it off... I was ROLLAR skating all the time... not because I have to, but because I enjoyed it! I can listen to my music, be left to my thoughts, and have a lot of fun. It's taken awhile to figure out what I like to do... without thinking it's EXERCISE... ya know?? Just thought I'd encourage ya'll to find something fun fun fun! Email: Abbaaskid@yahoo.com

Hi! You don't sound too overweight to me you just need to los like, 10-15lbs. But if you want some advice just try to work out about 30 mins a day that's what I do. And instead of getting a drive or taking the bus go for a stroll! It's really fun and you get some time to think to yourself.
Good luck!, Mags

Well since I last posted I've been drinkiong lots of water and on Monday I promised myself I would go to the recreation centre everyday and run a mile! Well I can't quite run a mile BUT what I do is I alternate! I do one lap running, one lap walking, run, walk just like that until I do a mile! I actually have fun doing it too because afterwards I'm really energized and stuff :) And I feel so proud of myself!
BTW I'm 5'8" and 180lbs I lost 1 pound last week! :D

Hi,
Hi my name is Laure & I am 15. I know what everyone is going through on this site because I am overweight too. I weigh 200 lbs and I am 5'3''. I lost my father too and I have been up & down the scale. My doctor think that due to depression I have developed an eating disorder. I eat too much or to little at times or don't eat any meat. I want you to know that this site is good for the information on it. My advice to eveyone is to just get more active. Even if you don't know how to dance create your own dance or get with some of your friends & play a game. I think even if you are 17 tags is still a cool game to play. I hope this has been helpful.
Bye

Chicky!!! Good choice with the marching band!!! I've been in one here on Canada (probably nowhere near as tough as in rthe US) and I've lost 15 lbs. since September!! Ask one of your friends (preferably not incredib;y skinny and gorgeous) to go walking with you every day after school or 4 times a week or something, and maybe turn it into running or running laps around a nearby field. That's what I've recently started doing and it's great because you have someone to talk to and motivate you!!! Keep working and good luck in band!! I don't really have many more tips than that, but if ya wanna talk and become friends, e-mail me at rosieanne1987@hotmail.com

Your words have inspired me to go on and do great things. Now I don't mind that I'm a size 18! I also now have one friend. She is called Sadie and she's real nice. She only weighs 7 stone! Thankyou for your words of advice, they have helped me to get through this lonely time and I have now realized that the world is a beautiful place. I have taken up a great sport, badminton and am in the kids badminton club. Its the best!!! Lots of love a hugs, NancyXXX
