Start: 210 lb, Today: 200 lb, Goal: 150 lb - Hey everyone! At this current moment i weight 200 lbs. I'm trying to lose 50 more. Ever since i've become a vegeterian i've been losing a lot of wieght. I'm pretty much eating the same amout of food but its waaay better for me. Also every night i work out. I dont have any machines or anything, i just have a big room downstairs and pop in some music. I just run around a little to get my pulse going the i do sit ups and stuff. Its really easy. I recommend eating BOCA cheeseburgers!! They are veggie burgers that taste as good as mcdonalds burgers but are only 70 calories! Since my new diet and exercise i've lost 10 pounds in 1 1/2 weeks! The rate gets faster and faster too!

did you know that if you walk a distance and run a distance it burns the same amount of calories? this is because although you work harder with running it takes a shorter time. If you enjoy running then go for it. Make sure you get some proper running shoes and do streches before and after. Start with 5 mins or whatever you can handle then build up. If you enjoy it do it but I suggest that you do an exercise you like. If you dont enjoy it you wont stick to it. I hate running but love walking and ive been doing it almost every day for the last 2-3 years. a good tip is you could take a walkman/sports radio or your dog with you, I do that cause then pple dont give you this look like "oh shes trying to lose weight" its "shes walking her dog" sounds stupid but i feel people do put a label on you when you diet and exercise. Good luck!!

hey, the only ay to get a flat stomach is to eat less fats and do stomach exercises that strengthen and streatch abs. one i liek to do is to lay flat, then lift ur legs all the we up so u make an L w/ ur body, then slowly lower u legs to the floor as if u were trying to lay flat, but to let ur heel touch the floor, and then raise ur legs again and start over, and make sure ur back stays flat on the ground. at the first time doin this exercise, u could hold on to something to keep u down. if u have any questions u can contact me at moostar22@cs.com. i hope this helps!

no! it is better to do the 30 mins. Even better is 40 mins like 5 x week. I do 40 mins 6x week. See, when you exercise your heart rate goes up and for good quality aeorbic exercise you should keep that heart pumping for at least 30 mins. Any more exercise than 30 mins and your body will have used its energy (from your food you ate that day) and will revert to using fat from your body. So keep up the good work!! Its hard to do that 40 min but when your done you will feel great! Keep going! LIZ

Hey, everyone! Sorry, it's been ages n ages since I've posted, but I've been SO busy! Anyway, this is to all the girls here: (sorry guys) Last week my dad signed me up at this gym type place a few minuets from my house because I need to get more exersize, and at first I was mad at him for not asking me...But I don't care anymore. The place is called curves, and it's especially for women. They have this circle of epipment that u use in order. You go around the circle three times in a half hour. Every other space is a special platform that u walk/jog in place on. You can even dance on it if u want, cuz they play music. Everyone there is super nice, and its only thirty minuets three times a week. I absolutely despise exersize, and I actually look forward to going. There are Curves all over the US and Canada, so if your looking for a good place to help you on your way to losing weight...I totally sudjest you go here. ~*Hugz*~

Yoga is a great way to loose weight, build and tone muscles, and a wonderful way to stay in shape and feel great about yourself!

I know there are lots of you out there who know that you should exercise, but you don't. You tell other to exercise, but don't do it yourself. Well, pick something that you like to do. Try getting some exercise videos. I like those a whole lot better than going outside and doing something, especially in the winter. There's taebo and kickboxing and yoga and pilates and walk off the weight with Leslie Sansone (for sale at Meijer for about $7), and weight lifting, and so much more. In my personal opinion, videos make exercising so much more fun. Of course there are some exercise videos that aren't very good. So you gotta shop around. I know most of you are like me and can't afford to shop around that much, so see if your local library has any exercise videos. That's where I first discovered Leslie Sansone. I think she's a good instructor. You can also go on amazon.com and search... (view more)

oooh...i know a great one for thighs. The wall - sit. put your back up against the wall and and bend your knees, stay that way for at least 3 min. do it about 4-6 times a week. also, the good old squat is great for thighs. do about 20 of those every day, and they should be toned in no time. I know how you feel. I am 5"7' and 234 lbs. i used to be at 252, but by working out more i have lost a lot in about a month.

Hi,
In the original series of Taebo there are: instrutional, basic, advanced, and 8 minute tapes. Yes, They do work! They are the best! It is fun, and it only takes a while to start seeing results. I lost 10 lbs. in a week by doing the basic Taebo everyday and eating healthy stuff like pretzels, carrots, sugarfree jello, skim milk, etc... But here is a tip: It takes a while. Just stick with it. I eventually gained that weight back because I stopped doing Taebo. I don't know why I stopped? Don't move up to the advanced tape until you are in excellent shape, because I tried the advanced tape and I almost passed out. It was so hard. But I heard that if you do the advanced it burns 800 calories. Good luck!!

Hi!! I am currently 210 pounds, I have already lost 25 pounds. What really helps me is SWIMMING. If you don't live near a pool, then other things I try to do to keep active are to order or check out exercise tapes from the library. At Target they have really good yoga tapes like Rodney Yee's AM Yoga. Billy Blank's Tae Bao workout is soo much fun if it's gross and raining outside, but you need to clear a space for where you are going to do the workout video, because you have to punch and kick alot!
GOOD LUCK!!
