Ht. 5'9", Start: 220 lb, Today: 190 lb (BMI %tile: 91), Goal: 160 lb - I used to come on this site whenever I was younger, and I never really did anything about losing weight. I was a huge emotional eater, and I still struggle with it sometimes. Since January I've been watching what I put in my mouth, and I barely saw any results until June whenever I went out and bought some Jillian Michaels exercise/cardio DVD's, started walking 30 minutes every evening and eating a healthy 1,200 calorie diet (three 400 calorie meals). It's been since June first, when I weighed 210 pounds, and I've seen HUGE results! I've dropped three pants sizes, one shirt size, and I'm starting to see muscle definition! I wish all of you the best of luck with reaching your weight loss goals, don't let the little things bring you down!

Ht. 5'5", Start: 280 lb, Today: 280 lb (BMI: 47), Goal: 175 lb - Okay, so this is my first time on this website, after having my son i thought i would loose the weight immediately, but i lost none of the weight and in fact in the past 2 years gained another 30. I am finally at my end, i want to loose the weight and most importantly keep it off. I though by coming here i could get support and help and guidence from people who are going through the same situation.

Ht. 5'7", Start: 168 lb, Today: 165 lb (BMI %tile: 85), Goal: 130 lb - Although my weight has never been above 168, I carry most of it around my tummy, so I look a lot heavier than I really am. A lot of people have guessed my weight to be around 195. I've just graduated from high school and I'm starting college in the Fall and now is the time for a change! I want college to be a fresh start, beginning with going in confident about the way I look. Eating right and exercising I got down to 158, but around graduation I gained 7 lbs. back. Now I'm having a hard time getting back to the healthy lifestyle I established. What's harder is both of my parents are overweight/obese and my sister is a nationally competing athelete (meaning she can eat all of the food that's made the rest of us overweight without gaining a pound, she's very muscular, thin & toned.) Neither of my parents are inclined to eat healthier and are not supporting me. Every year on January 1st, they say "This is the year it's all going to change! We're going to lose the weight!" and for 3 months, they live a healthy lifestyle. Then, one day they fall off the bandwagon and don't get back on until January 1st of the next year. Needless to say, they weight they gain back during those other 9 months more than makes up for the weight they lost. Anyway, I'm here to look for some support! Or some tips. Anything that helped or is helping you get healthy and get smaller! Does anyone else out there carry the weight like I do? I feel like I'm the only one and someday I'd like to look down and see my toes. Does anyone else have a goal like that? Not just to weigh a certain amount, or wear a certain dress size, but to be able to do something like that? (view less)

Ht. 5'5", Start: 170 lb, Today: 170 lb (BMI %tile: 91), Goal: 130 lb - Hi, so I'm wondering if y'all can give me some tips for not getting discouraged about losing weight. I lost about 5 or 10 pounds last school year because I walked to school every day and I just didn't eat as much, but since I've been home this summer I've just been really discouraged and depressed. I try to go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, but lately I just can't motivate myself. I try not to eat a lot, but I feel like I'm failing at that so often. My family is going through a rough time right now and I feel like they're just too stressed with other things to be supportive right now. So, I'm just looking for insight and encouragement. Thank you.

Ht. 5'1", Start: 204 lb, Today: 147 lb (BMI: 28), Goal: 115 lb - So my real life has begun again...no more eating out/eating at all hours of the day and night. I've got to get myself pumped back up to lose those last 30ish pounds! I think the hardest part for me will be the workouts....I want to get myself toned and I know that takes hard work, and frankly, I've been slacking when it comes to that aspect of my weight loss. But no more making excuses for myself - I love how much better I feel about myself now that I've lost some excess weight and I can't wait to be rid of all of it!! Hope everyone's doing well!

I quit smoking today so i'm kind of nervous i'll gain some weight back as a result because i heard that happens, but maybe if i replace my cravings for cigarettes with drinking tea or coffee or something instead of eating that will help. ahh im scared! best of luck guys!

Ht. 5'1", Start: 204 lb, Today: 146 lb (BMI: 28), Goal: 115 lb - I was 144 on June 7, so I'm a bit bummed that I've gained a couple of pounds. Granted, my brother-in-law is out visiting us for a month so we've been eating a TON more junk/restaurant food than we normally do. All in all, for the amount of things I've ingested, 146 isn't too bad, but still, I'm on a timeline to be at my goal weight of 115 by mid-November since we'll be spending the month of December in Australia for Christmas with my in-laws and no one out there has seen me since my heaviest (204). I haven't really been working out either since it's summer and heat/sweating gets me in a bad mood really fast, haha. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do in summer to tone muscle, but that's also fun?

Ht. 5'4", Start: 198 lb, Today: 198 lb (BMI %tile: 97), Goal: 130 lb - Okay you guys, I really don't want to hit the 200 lb. mark so I'm changing it all now. My main problem is I forget to eat less. I don't think about being on a diet until I've already ate unhealthily..I don't understand it but I think I've figured a way to fix that. Do you guys have any advice of how to keep yourself from eating when it's unneccessary? I mean obviously eating regular meals but when I'm not doing anything or when I'm talking to someone I always find myself eating...definitely not cool. Thank you guys for any advice you can give. (By the way feel free to give me any tips that work for you in other aspects of weight loss too. =] )

Ht. 5'1", Start: 204 lb, Today: 147 lb (BMI: 28), Goal: 115 lb - I'm starting to think that the 140's is a plateau period in my weight loss goals. I can't seem to lose much right now. I'm eating and exercising the same so I'm not sure what's going on. Has anyone ever experienced a plateau, where it seems like no matter what you do, you're stuck at or near the same weight for a long time? If so, are there any tips/things I can do to push myself past this hurdle?
