How do you know that the food tastes like bacon? Have you already tried it? I'm just kidding. I thought you needed a little humor. I think you need to talk to someone that you have the chance to see frequently. Maybe they'd be able to sort through your weight gain and see the real reason why you are so unhappy. and don't be so hard on your mom. she's only doing what she thinks she can do to help you.

I know how hard it is to be over weight. I am finally thin now and i got to tell you .... talking to a doctor helps. you should really speak to someone you trust about your weight. It's not about what you look like , it's about how you Feel, being healthy is great in many ways... a Doctor will help you feel good about your self . It might take some time ... but it's worth it!

THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO LIFE THAN YOUR WEIGHT!! it's summer, so try to get some exercise in, and try to make healthy decisions when choosing what to eat. you should tell a doctor or parent if you are depressed. you might want medicine so you don't feel as depressed. it's not the end of the world if you can't lose weight, you have the rest of your life and you don't want to miss out! love, angel

I think you should tell someone close to you, and seek professional advice before this becomes out of hand. If you dont, this could be a disease you live with the rest of your life.

Hey everyone! Just another little information-message to help out some people.
If anyone has noticed that their eating habits do not justify their weight (eg. you don't eat much but you put on weight rapidly) then you might have a thyroid problem. NOTE: This does NOT mean that if you already had a weight problem and are trying to get it off; there is some chance but not a lot. However, if you have always been a light eater and are fairly or even extremely active but you have found that you suddenly began to put on weight, as I said you might have a thyroid problem. I'm not going to go into the sicence of it here but its basically something that holds back your metabolism. Ask you doctor; they can do blood tests and see if there's anything there. Bye!

Look, it takes time you lose weight. You need to adopt a healthy attitude and maybe you should see a dietician. You need to realise that all your problems do not center around your weight, and that you can lose it if you put enough work into it. Dont get too caught up about it all, things will get better, trust me. I used to feel that way too when I was younger.

Why don't you speak to your councellor at school and have her talk to your mom. Perhaps then she will take you seriously! Good Luck

To Leigh,I tried to reply to ur message but it didn't work so i am posting here. A dietician is a special kind of doctor who helps with diets. When my asthma was realy bad i sae a dietician and she helped me to make a diet plan that didn't use all the foods that make my asthma worse. She was realy nice and helpful. She told me that she also works with kids who are overweight and she looks at what the kid eats and how they live (exersise and stuff) and then together the dietician and the kid make a plan about how to change things to lose weight. It might be just little steps but working towards making a big diference! I recomenned it!!!! Let me know what happens and remember u have friends!!!!! 30 pounds in a month is a lot are u sure ur scales are not broken??? Did u eat lots of things u dont normally eat?
