I always say I'll start tomorrow too. But then I started turning on some music before I went to get a snack, and instead of going and getting a snack I started dancing (in the privacy of my bedroom). I lost 40 pounds and grew about 4 inches (in about a years time)

First of all, lean pockets are tasty. Second of all, instead of eating, force yourself to find something useful and better to do. For example, if you feel the urge go turn on one of those excersize videos you have, or go for a walk. Ususally after you work out, you dont feel like eating anymore. Or what works for me is if i have a craving, i go and brush my teeth, because i cant stand eating anything when i just cleaned my mouth.(it may not work for you).

Hey you guys, I'm starting a better diet that will work but will just be difficult. I'm not gonna eat breakfest, I mean you should but it's what got me overweight to begin with. For lunch a sandwhich, no mayo, and a fruit. Dinner will either be w/e my mom cooks, she cooks healthy or a salad with Tuna or fruit salad. Ive started going to aerobics classes for an hour and a half 3 times a week, monday, sunday, wednesday BOY THEY HURT lol. And I'll be swimming when im not hurting or bored lol. To prevent binge eating ill be cleaning, playing with makeup, dancing, reading or writing or out with friends. I have to lose weight, i think im pretty in the face but slightly overweight. Wish me luck!

Craig, for guys, being fit is a very deal, and girls love it! im not going to lie. the first thing i would advise you to do, is get yourself involved in school. play sports, do clubs ANYTHING that will get you away from places that you eat. i see alot of guys in my school that stay after and work out in the weight room together for hours at a time, i think its great.. the thing about that is you can't workout then go home and eat or else ull find yourself gaining more weight. also, dont let yourself get down if u find u gain 5 pounds or more building muscle because muscle weighs more than fat. and DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT go crazy eattin if you give up one day, because i know i do that alot. i hope this helps

In between meals keep yourself busy by taking a walk, playing basketball, or cleaning your room. That way you won't eat, and you'll burn more calories, and you'll sleep better at night because you will be more tired. Good luck!

I know how you feel Nicola. I am too gaining 2-3 pounds a week due to stress. This is what I think you should do, everyone is different, so this might not work. But, Try going on a walk with your mom every day. You can talk and share your problems with her while you walk. It will be a great way to get to know her better, and a great way to exersise. If you need to talk about your problems, or just want a friend e-mail me at SpikeZeppelin@aol.com Okies??

This is what I would do, take your mind off eating by doing fun things like going to the mall or playing sports with friends. Thats what I did and I lost the 8 pounds I needed to lose.

Sara~ I hear you about gaining weight really rapidly... I was always small in high school and this fall when I came to school I started gaining weight really fast.(I have gained 18 pds since last spring) I am not involved in any sports here and I think that the exercise really helped me to stay at a good weight... maybe you could get a friend to walk with you every night for an hour if it is cold out you could even walk inside your mall.. we have been doing that and we have met alot of other people by doing this also.. a friend and I have been doing that... I am not losing the weight i would like to.. but I am toning... and tht makes me feel better about myself.. another trick i have learned is when I sit and watch a movie, do homework, or play on my computer I get hungry.. I try to drink a bottle of water first to make sure I am really hungry, and not just bored before I eat.... another helpful tip for me is I dont drink pop or eat junkfood if it isnt around.. so I just make it a point to have healthy snacks for myself around.. like fruit and vegetables.. hope this helps you out!

I have the same weight problem. What helps out alot is if you try to have lots of fun by playing. That usially
takes my mind off food and you also feel good physically. And if your a kid you shouldn't have to bother with hard excercises like push-ups and sit-ups, just stay active. Also maybe you should enroll in a sport. I play softball and that really keeps me feeling physically good and takes my mind off food.
