I have a strange request. My daughter is 7 years old and is kind of chunky. The family doctor says in order to maintain or lose weight, she needs to lose weight in her bottom. So what I'm asking all of you is what foods (in general) go directly to her butt, and what diets would help her maintain her weight.

I'm 12 years old, 5'3 and I weigh 191 (I'm telling the truth) The reason why I'm here is because I have a question that I don't think other kids my age could answer. They have this 'Natrual Herbal Slimming Tea' and my mom got me 2 boxes of it but I don't really know what the ingredients are. If you could tell me what: senna leaves, malva leaves, licorice root and panax ginseng root are I'd appreciate it a lot!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the Solution: Vicky 9-10pm for you is 10-11pm for the mountains reagon, 11pm-12am for central time, and 12-1am for the east coast. If we all could agree on a time Vicky are you free at 7-8pm instead? Then it would be as follows:West Coast: 7-8pmMountain Reagon: 8-9pmCentral Reagon:9-10pm East Coast: 10-11pmIf that's ok then we all could prehaps agree upon a day or two. Get back to me on the message board wirh a suggestion. thanks for your time!

This is not really 'weight related' but I have a problem and I need some advice. My daughter Maggie likes Eminem. I don't want her to be exposed to all of his explicit content, I mean all of his language and violence. Is there anything I could do to keep her away from him or what should I do. Everyone says I'm to overprotective of her I don't let her watch PG-13 movies I rarley even let her watch PG movies. She likes him though and I don't want her to. I need some help.

Hi everyone, My daughter will be 6 in oct and weighs about 88 lbs and is about 4'3. I am probably the most frustrated right now than I have ever been. She is constantly asking me to give her something to eat. I am very thin and eat very healthy and have always had a "weight conscious" so it is very hard for me to see her go through this. She really has never said anything about the way she looks but I know when school comes this fall kids are going to be mean and I'm not prepared for that. She is in a size 16 for kids so shopping is very stressful and of course she wants to wear all the cool stuff like the limited too has that is cute, but only on skinny kids. I have fat free foods in the house and skim milk and I limit sugar and try to get her to drink lots of water but she still constantly complains and whines that she wants cookies or she wants some chips ect. My family is no ... (view more)

my daughter is 13 years old and i very overweight. she is about 273 lbs. she is not even 5 feet tall. last week i took her to the doctors and he weighed her and she weighed 268 lbs. he put her on a diet and told me to weigh her every week or so but not more than that. when i weighed her yesterday she weighed 273 which means she gain 5 lbs. in a week... this makes me think she has not been following the diet but i am not sure how to confront her and help her stick to it. when i weighed her she said that it didn't matter if she gained weight because i was fat. which is not untrue (i am 5'5 390 lbs.) however i don't want my daughter to go through the things that i have to. i need to make her see this.

My child, Jessica is very obese. She is 5'4" tall and weighs 269 or did, now (she was weighed yesterday) 301 . I took her to the doctor a month ago (she haden't been in about 5 years, I'm sorry to say) just for a check-up. I knew Jessica was overweight but I didn't exactly how much. We don't own a scale so we wouldn't know. Five years ago she was a normal weight for a six year old girl. It was three years ago when she became overweight. I tried to get her to exersize but she won't and just sits on the couch watching TV and eating tons of junk food. I knew she was overweight when the school nurse called me to tell me how muched she weighed. Since this was in fourth grade (now she's going into sixth) she weighed 202. The nurse told me I should have her examined by a peditritian who specialized in that field. I didn't listen so it was a whole year before I decided to take her. I... (view more)

Hi, My son is an only child. He is 10 and 1/2 years old. He is 5'2" and weighs 148 pounds. He should weigh at least 33 pounds less. He is bored and lonely being an only child. I think he eats out of boredom. If any of you out there have a son who is also overweight, I would love for them to become internet buddies and try losing weight together. I think he would like that because he gets frustrated at me for talking about losing weight. I love him dearly but I don't want him to be ridiculed at school. I am scared for his health also. Please fell free to respond. Thank you........

I am just so sad. I have a very beautiful little girl who is about to have a birthday. She has always been chunky, like her mother, but her wonderful attitued and smile made her weight seem to go unnoticed. However, when we went shopping for her birthday dress, I was faced with no clothes in her size. Her little heart broke as she tried on one dress after the other built for what she called skinny kids. If anyone knows where I can find large size clothes on the web I would appreciate it. Thank you

I have one 12 year old daughter who I think is overweight. She is 4'10 and weighs 165 lbs. I haven't ever had a problem with being fat(i'm 30 and 137). She wears a size 12 in womens, and that doesn't fit her very well. It's the smalest size she can get into, and her normal size would be 16 in womens. I also need to find pants that fit her around the waist and the length. The pants that fit in length can't buckle at ALL. I'm worried about her because she has 4 "rolls" and whenever she wears jeans and a shirt, at least two always stick out over the pants line...I really need help for her! If anyone has any suguestions, that would be GREAT!!

Hello everybody, i want to talk about my daughter reanne. One day she went to school and came home with three notes the first was, from her friend kelsey. It said,
reanne i asked all of the kids in our class how they think you look. These are the things they told me. you are a fatso, chubby, lardbutt, blubbergirl, piggy, and fat magnet.
The next note was a list from kelsey. These were what kids 11-15 thought of the way reanne looked. these words were very hurtfull and saddening and the last note was from the school guidance counselor who gave me a list of weight programs, and diets for reanne. Now when reanne came home she screamed and hollered and cried. She told me she knew she was fat and she wanted to be thin. A couple of months later she was on a diet but she was still as fat as a house. But not literally. her thighs are huge she as tons of rolls on her stomache and she has busted out of almost every pair of clothes she owns. People make fun of her and it discourages her from the diet I put her on Please respond!

My daughter is 9 years old, 4'7" and weighs 105. She has alwasy been chubby but in the last six months she has more than 20 pounds. I'd now consider her fat rather than just plump. She can't fasten up most of her clothes and usually has to leave the top buttons of her jeans undone. I keep buying new ones and she keeps growing out of them. She has a huge appetite and often sneaks food when no-one's in the kitchen. Her thighs are fat, she has a double chin and her tummy is huge, really bulgy. My other chidren are slim, as are my husband and I. I buy fruit for after meals, which she loves, and she'll eat that, then I'll catch her in the kitchen later on, eating leftover pasta straight from the refrigerator! She can't possibly be hungry! She is not an active child, and, although we try to encourage activity (going for family bike rides and walks, etc) she usually tries to find an... (view more)
