Lawrence's Story on this site. Ashlie was Lawrence's girlfriend, who used to be
overweight and helped Lawrence to lose weight. Ashlie later went to
school and became a
registered nurse (RN). Ashlie RN now helps kids lose weight, and she
also helps their parents.
Every Tuesday Ashlie
RN hosts a chat in the New Parents Chatroom, from 8
pm to 9 pm
ET (East coast USA time) 2000-2100 hrs. This is 7 PM central time,
6 PM mountain time, and 5 PM west coast time, and 1 AM UK time, 2 AM
European time, and 10 AM in Australia (Brisbane).

– Open Mike Come chat and ask questions about
whatever is on your mind in regards to weight loss for your child, teen, or
family as a whole.
December 22 , 2009 – Christmas and other holiday foods. Cookies and
chocolate galore. Eggnog to drink. Huge family dinners. All this food can
make eating less a lot harder for everyone, including kids. Come chat about
ways to help the whole family eat reasonably this season.
December 29, 2009 – New Year's Resolutions Most adults have New Year’s
Resolutions. So do kids. How can goals help in weight loss? Bring your ideas
and announce your New Year goal!

January 7, 2010 - Exercise with cabin fever! It’s been cold for
months, but winter has only officially started a few weeks ago. Come chat
about opportunities for you and your kids and their friends to be active
while it is cold outside.
January 14, 2010 - Cravings. What is the difference between cravings
and hunger? How can your child deal with cravings?
January 21, 2010 - Motivational Mates. Have you heard? Weight loss
buddies or motivational mates can provide your child the extra motivational
boost to work on losing excess weight. Sometimes it’s another child of the
same age, gender, and weight range. Other times it can be parents who also
need to lose weight. Come chat about how people can motivate each other to
lose weight.
January 28, 2010 - Eating disorders. What are eating disorders? Binge
eating? Bulimia? Anorexia? Why are they harmful? What can be done to help
kids with eating disorders?
February 4, 2010 - Help! My child can't stop eating when bored! Do
you find your kid with an empty bag of chips in your hand after school
everyday? Many kids and teens eat when they are bored. Most are bored after
they get home from school. Come chat about providing activities to do to
stop eating when they are bored!
February 11, 2010 – Valentine’s Day blues. Seems like this time of
year reminds us of being in a couple. Some kids really stress about being
“single”. Come chat about showing love and support for your pre-teen or teen
so that they feel more confident about themselves and their weight loss
goals.
February 18, 2010 - Breaking the overeating vicious cycle. Many of us
get into a cycle of overeating and feeling bad about ourselves, which causes
us to overeat more. How can you help your kids break this cycle?
February 25, 2010 – Let your kids turn It Up! Did you know dancing is
a great way to lose weight? Come chat about ways to put dancing into your
kid’s day for exercise. DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) anyone? Who knew
exercise could be so FUN!?!
