Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

From Kary, child's age 14

My daughter weighed herself today and though she always yells don't look, I was curious so I did. And what I saw on there was 186. Isn't that a little bit heavy for a 5 foot 5 14 year old girl? I mean she seems to have been gaining weight. At a doctors appointment last year she weighed in at 167. Now she's 19 pounds heavier. I;ve always been one to think that if they have a good self image it's ok, but with her gaining weight and now almost to 190 pounds. I don't think that it's ok anymore. I mean I'm 45 and I weighed myself and I weighed 163 pounds. I don't think something is right here.
