hey, i'm the same one with the post on the eminem one. I just wanna tell the parents on here that if you censor your kids to much, something will most likely go wrong. I have so many different friends from many different backrounds. Most of them are very rich, and also very restricted. But one thing that happens is that they'll go to friends house s and hear it there. They'll listen to the radio, watch TV, anyhting, it's hard to escape. I'm already not the most normal child in the world, but not because of his songs. If i wasn't aloud to listen to him, i would be so mad at my parents, i would hate them. But my mom would rather have me listen to him then Britney and Christina and think it's cool to whore myself out in barely there clothes. Hell, by your girl a No DOubt album, gwen is much more respectable. Let your kids have some freedom, it'll be better. My mom lets me express myself, i ... (view more)

My daughter is 14 and about 5 foot 6. She never let's me see how much she weighs, but I've never been too concerned. She doesn't look that big, but she does have a stomach that sort of hangs. But yesterday we were in my room and I've been redecorating so stuff is everywhere and the scale was by my bed and I was sitting on my bed and she came over and stood on it to be next to me and ask me something. Curious, I didn't say anything and then I saw what she weighs. She then left and I know now that she weighs in around 180. Our scale is a bit goofy so i figure maybe 5 to 10 pounds less, but still, isn't that a bit much for a 14 year old? I mean most of the kids weigh like 120, or 130. And here she is at 180. I don't know what to do about it. Should I talk to her or take her to a doctor?

Hi! I am very worried about my childs weight. She is 12 and weighs 190. Her friends don't make fun of her at all. I know because they are all very kind and she is good friends with them. She does not look 190 because she is very stronge andbig boned but she hates it. I want to help my baby girl so bad but I don't know what to do. I have never worried about my own weight and don't know what to do about hers. she has tryed on her own to lose the weight lots of times but can't stay on the work-out plan and can't eat good all the time. Please I am asking you for your help. Could you give me some work-outs and eating tips for her? She will really be thankfull for your help. Please reply back. thank you so much for your help.

My daughter is 12 years old, is 5'3" and weighs 156 pounds. Although she is not made fun of at school i.e. she thinks she is fat, and nothing I say can change that. What is the average weight of a 12 or 13 year old girl? PLEASE RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

This is about as much for me as it is my kids. All the men in my family are overweight. Me, my dad, my brothers, and my 3 sons. Therefore, we tend to eat a lot on Thanksgiving. In fact, we pretty much eat all day and end up gaining weight. My dad is 5'11" 250 lbs, my youngest brother is 26, 5'9" and 220 lbs, my other brother is 34, 5'9" and 235 lbs, and I am 39, 5'10" and 215 lbs. I have always hoped that my kids wouldn't turn out like us, but the totch passed. One of my sons is 17, 5'9" and 210 lbs, my 15 son is 5'9" and 195 lbs, and my 14 son is 5'7" and 175 lbs. If anyone can help us out and give me tips about how to not eat until we can't move, it would be very much appreciated.

I know it's been over a month, but I wanted to reply to what some kids had asked about Amanda after I shared about her progress.First, Tyler noticed that 300 lbs is too much for a 10 year old. He's absolutely right. It's not something that happens overnight. As a parent you want your child to be as happy as possible and Amanda was happiest when she was eating. But the time came when Amanda saw for herself that she was too big so when she told me it became important to me that I help her.Ray Ray and sammy asked how Amanda lost 20 lbs. Well first, that wasn't overnight either. It took over 6 months to get her down to 280. It wasn't straight downhill either. Sometimes she didn't lose any weight for a couple days and sometimes she gained some (like after a day of really bad teasing at school). The main thing is to not think you failed just because you aren't losing weight all the time.The... (view more)

My daughter doesn't have the problem being over weight, though she was chubby at one point in time. She has lost I beleive around 10 pounds but keeps some how eating a little less then usual each day. I remember how that happened to me when I was her age, but I didn't eat as little as she does. I'm pretty sure she doesn't eat alot at school either. She isn't allowed snacks at school and she isn't one to disregard the rules. I wonder if this could just be just growing up, or a real problem.

Hello... I found it shocking that someone could gain up to 33 pounds in 2 weeks, as a previous post mentioned. I was under the impression that such a large amount was physically impossible. I would like to know just what somebody would have to eat to gain so much weight, so I can steer my own son off that path. I also find I work best through gathered statistics, so I suppose that would be another reason I would appreciate having some helpful information. Besides, if I knew what somebody could possibly eat to have such a horrendous gain, I might be able to help my son later in life by being able to steer him from such bad foods, considering his size already at 270. I suppose I feel ashamed. Well, thank you for any information you can give.

My daughter weighed herself today and though she always yells don't look, I was curious so I did. And what I saw on there was 186. Isn't that a little bit heavy for a 5 foot 5 14 year old girl? I mean she seems to have been gaining weight. At a doctors appointment last year she weighed in at 167. Now she's 19 pounds heavier. I;ve always been one to think that if they have a good self image it's ok, but with her gaining weight and now almost to 190 pounds. I don't think that it's ok anymore. I mean I'm 45 and I weighed myself and I weighed 163 pounds. I don't think something is right here.
