Just eat less junk foods and try to excersize more. If u have a brother or sister have them help you i'm sure they will. try to distinguish the difference between cravings and hunger. drink quite a bit of ater but make sure you do still eat because if youy don't it won't be worth it because you'll be sick. Oh yah, remember that it takes time and patience, you cant expect to do it all in a few weeks.

hi my name is McKylie...im 5'3 and I used to weigh 193 pounds...YEAH THAT'S BIG...the point is I was in denial for a long time about how overweight I really was. That was two years ago.Now I'm a freshmen in high school and I am down to 124 pounds. I still have some shape to me...I don't want to be a stick.I was so UNHAPPY when I was big. Now I get better grades,I have my first boyfriend, and this year I made cheerleader. All I did was act like I had had a gastric bypass. I know that sounds stupid...but it works.I told myself I could only have so and so ounces of food a day and all I drank was water. I told myself that if I ate more than I should...I have to burn it off. So every day after I got home from school,I walked down the road and back. It's about a mile.I also did 10 sit-ups every other day and push-ups every day that I didn't do sit-ups. You don't have to over work yourself. I... (view more)

Hey Bethany, the key to losing weight is to lose it slowly and before losing any weight you should get a journal and write down all of your feelings positive and negative. Then u should talk to your parents and have them try to make a healthy eating play for you or go to a nutritionist. kj_peace@hotmail.com if u have ne questions!!!

Ht. 5'5", Today: 134 lb (BMI %tile: 77), Goal: 120 lb - Hey I haven't checked here for a while but I'm 134lbs =D I've lost 4 lbs I'm 5'5 and I wanna get down to about 120 so 14 pounds left.. I got sick last week and a day I lost 4 lbs so I was done to 130 and I was like WOA and it just felt so good (but of course it came back) anyways I got a book on Teenage Fitness and I've been doing this 20 minutes exercise routine (basically strength training) and it makes me feel a lot better(especially about my tummy I can feel the burn, and that makes me confident)... oh okay heres a lil tip I dont know if it will work for you but it worked for me. My dad offered me a donut and of course I took it it was looking at me like "eat me I'm so good" and so I went to the bathroom mirror and I ate the donut infront of the mirror.. well I obviously didn't eat the whole thing after the person staring back at me it was really gross so if you want that big yummy ... These are just some tips I have to help me loose weight..and I thought I might share..Have a journal and write down your goals and what you ate that day. Exercise daily. Aerobic will strenthen your cardiovascular system..also do some weight training. Stretching can help relieve stress/tension also. When you feel like eating something you shouldn't..wate five minutes..and take 5 bites of something healthy before you eat something bad. Drink lots of water..also..it's kina-of hard to drink water during cold weather so make yourself some decaff tea...and enjoy! Don't step on the scale every day..make weekly/monthly weigh ins. Most important..give yourself time! It's not easy to just hop onto healthy eating..and go from there...if you mess up..write it in your journal..and go take a walk, play with your pets, stretch, maybe go shopping if it makes you feel better. These are just some tips what I'm using so..I hope you find them useful! =)

Start: 240 lb, Today: 200 lb - I currently weigh 200 pounds from 240 pounds on my fat loss scheme. to do this i made an excellent workout plan. i siggest everyone to buy a pair of lightweight dumbells and train in your own home. i bought whey protein powder and L-glutamine acid and took it before my workouts. During workout i trained my but, legs, pecs, arms and abs then i was exhausted but i followed with simple jogging and stair stepping. my workout was 100 mins in total and i lost a lot of weight. i ate the same but cut out all sodas, chocolates, potato chips and ate less fried food. I reccomend everyone to start weight training as it preserves muscle and accelerates fat loss. PLz reply to this if you have any questions and i will reply back to you. :)

Ht. 5'6", Start: 161 lb, Today: 138 lb (BMI %tile: 77), Goal: 138 lb - I'm 5'6 138.I lost 23 pounds. How did I do it? ok I only ate when I was hungry and Is topped when I was full.I stayed away from fatty foods, and ate lots of fruits and veggies. In the morning I wouldnt eat breakfast, but i would have a glass of water and a cup of green tea.I had 8 glasses of water a day, and 3 cups of green tea a day.Green tea speeds up your matbolism.I had a glass of water before each meal, for it fills you up.I didnt have pop, all I drank was green tea and water and sometimes milk.If you have a craving, drink water, it makes it go away. For exercize I did The Firm video, which is great by the way..and I did the video Winsor Pilates which is also great coz thats wat supermodels do to tone up.I did pushups and situps..and went walking..I went to the weight room and I did yoga.Hope I helped! good luck.

yeah- the water idea is great but steer clear of the sodas- don't drink them every day because even diet is packed full of sodium and makes you retain water. try not to pressure yourself too much but workout in the morning is my greatest tip because then you know that it's done with and you'll be happier and you're more likely to stick with it!

well- you could have a thyroid problem but perhaps in your past you weren't so active or maybe you're eating more calories then you suspect? my suggestion is to keep track opf ALL(every little nibble) of calories you eat in a day and find out if you need to down size...

people seem to think that stopping eating at a certain time of night prevents storage of fat when your metabolism calms for the night but what they're really doing is cutting down calories. i've read in quite a few places that it doesn't matter when you eat- it's the overall ratio of calories consumed:burned that determines your weight gain/loss.
