Ok, here is what ya do, there are two methods that work real good for food, 1 is counting calories, although i don't recommend that for people who don't have the time or might forget, but it can improve your math skills. Write down all the foods you eat and record how many calorie's you've consumed either from boxes that the food was in, cook books index, or searching that food on the internet, you'll want to eat between 1300-1600 calories. Or, the other method, you can either eliminate snacks, or only eat fruit and veggies for snacks. Then, make sure you eat breakfast, a small lunch, and for dinner, NO SECONDS!, try to make up your meal 1/2 veggies/ fruit 1/4 carbs (pasta, potatoes) 1/8 meat and 1/8 fats (that would be considered desert, like ice cream, only 1 scoop!). Ok, the next part is the hardest, because you have to make sure you DO IT! I recommend that you pick up and exercise... (view more)

When you guys say "diet" how long do you plan to stay on it? A couple of weeks? A year? Untill you loose enough weight? Then you easily go back to the way you were before, eating a lot. After you've finished your diet you always end up gaining all the weight again. If any of you are serious about loosing weight, dieting is not the answer. Loosing weight or being healthy is a life changing process! You have to be prepared to change your life for the better. TRAIN yourself to eat healthier and actually excersize at least 3-4 times a week. Its more efficient if you do this slowly and surely. You want to make yourself look good for a life time, not for a month and then gain it all back again. When you have a craving for food or for 2nd helpings remember that food is the reason your changing your life and try to resist temtation. The more you become accustomed to healthy foods, the more you... (view more)

You should try to eat smaller proportion size meals. About the size of your fist. For excersize, use whats around you. DO you have a treadmill or any kind of machine/ weights you can work out with? How about an excersize video? You could even jog in place or take a walk or do jumping jacks or Dance. You need to both eat right and do exersizes because you cant loose weight by doing just one. So take some time out of your day to go for a walk or do a tae bo video. And take time to make sure you have the right proportion of food and that its healthy!

okay sounds great! okay lets start with the basics. Do you excersize? If you do, how often and how long? Do you have enough time to excersize? Secondly, how do you eat? Answer honestly. Do you eat constantly or only at meals or somewhere in between? What kinds of foods do you eat? Do you have a problem with cravings? Lastly does at least your parent/ guardian know that you want to loose a lot of weight?
A couple tips:
*Drink lots of water. It fills you up, and its a fat flusher.
*Try to avoid going into the kitchen.
*Instead of watching TV, go up to your room & crank up the toons. Start dancing!!!! It's fun, and you can break a sweat doing it!!!!!
~I hope that helps a bit!

HOW TO LOSE A POUND A WEEK- If you don't know, one pound is equal to 3500 calories. It is recommended that everyone eat between 1800 and 2500 calories a day (that is sedentary to highly active) to remain the same weight and stay healthy. First I would recommend writing down everything you eat for 3 days. Then figure out how many calories each day you ate. Most calorie charts can be found in cook books, or I have found that http://www.ntwrks.com/~mikev/chart1a.htm is a very reputable source to find this type of information. To lose a pound a week, you must cut at least 500 calories a day. (500*7=3500). So, say you find your average is 2100 calories a day, and you cut 500 calories, you will then have a limit of 1600 calories a day. With my "plan" I write down everything I eat every day and keep track of calorie totals on a calander. Once you get into the habit of writing things down, it is... (view more)

-first, read story lawrence on the main teen page. It will help you understand the difference between hunger and a craving.
-second, when you want some sweets, that aren't fat free, ask yourself if you are really hungry. And if you are, go for something healthy. Like gram crackers or some fat free snack.
-third, if you need help making sure you get all your water everyday, fill up like a water jug, like a kool-aid jug or something, with 6 8oz. (1 cup) glasses of water. and make sure you drink at least that everyday.
-forth, exercise. Try doing it in the morning before you eat anything (so you dont get sick during the exercise) and try to do it in the morning because you wont come up with anything else during the day and run out of time. And if you can't do it in the morning, try to do it at night.
-fifth, start doing some extra curricular (spell check)... (view more)

Sorry to say but, you cannot lose 100 pounds in one month. You can however lose at least 10 pounds. Though it might not sound like a lot it will get you started on your rode to weight loss. What you need to do is start slowly. Try to eat half of what you usually eat or even better, cut out all junkfood. At first you might not want to excersize and focus just on eating habits. But you can gradually start excersizing. Excersizing doesnt have to be running 10 miles or all that Jazz, excersizing can be as simple as doing a few jumping jax or shooting some hoops. Remember this ~EXCERSIZE IS ANYTHING THAT GETS YOU OFF YOUR BUM~ People think that you have to run 10 miles to lose weight WRONG. My advice for you is to work your way in to it. Start really slowly NOTHING TOO DRASTIC. Dont check the scale everyday because it takes a week to lose about 2-3 pounds. When you feel like your not getting... (view more)

Hey, do you do any activities? like swim or any sports? if you ride your bike and rollerblade thatll help. ive learned that last year im still overweight but by doing more activities you can help it. and instead of drinkin soda although they are coming out with some good one you should drink water. and if you go out to eat a lot go to the salad bars first and then eat a lite meal then for desert rather than ice cream or somethin get fruit. see i eat when i am deprssed and that happpens a lot and my weight varies a lot. and my aunt and i were talking and she said instead of going to the munchies go for a walk or sleep a little and thats helped to. well i hope this helps you ~samantha~
