Heres some good tips: DO NOT EAT MCDONALD'S. Trust me, google whats in their chicken nuggets and youll puke. Also eat every 3-4 hours so you wont overeat. Dont eat after 8:30, it messes with your digestion. Ask your parents to make an appointment with your nutritionist or doctor and ask them for help on how to lose weight healthily. DONT make yourself throw up or starve yourself-it does just the opposite. Do excersizes you WANT to do. If you hate sit-ups dont say "Im gonna do 400 situps a day!!" because you wont. Try to do excersize 4/7 days a week and slowly work yourself up. Also studies show that having a partner helps people lose weight so find a partner on this website if your family wont help. For motivation, think about proving all the people who laughed at you and judged you wrong when you finally do it. Its hard work but you can definitely do it!!!

Eat healthy foods like fruits and veggies and stay away from things like peanut butter, soda, and sweets. Swim and jog. If you not a big jogger (like me) you should start with a fast walk then get faster. Keep a journal (I know it sounds weird, just do it!) and reward you self with things like cds, new books, or going to the mall for losing weight. Just dont reward yourself with junk food. Hope this helps!

Hi Emma. I used to do the exact same thing. I am losing weight now because I keep a food diary and I have the book called The Diet for Teenagers Only. Its really helpful in how much food you should eat to lose weight. Also if you start feeling a craving coming on heres some things that can stop it...Drink lots of cold water(it fills you up) Go gurgle with mouthwash and then wait 15 minutes after you spit it out(it will help get a mint kind of taste in your mouth which will help control the cravings) Take a bubble bath or anything else that will get your mind of it. Also stretching helps. Lock yourself in your room with water and dont go to the refrigerator at all! What I do is work on my new goal- Trying to do the splits! So just set a stretching goal and work on it! If after all this you are still hungry then eat food that is hungry and involves work. Such as cherries because then you... (view more)

Okay. Well, I am no expert, but here's what i would do.
SCHOOL
I would share some of my food with friends. I do this right now and my friends that are underweight are gaining some weight while i loose weight.
Bring your own water to school. Buy those 5 calorie mix things. Drink those instead of chocolate milk.
----
HOME
I would ask my parents to hide any junk food so that i could not find it. Out of sight, out of mind.
At dinner, I would ask my parents to get it for me and tell them to give me a little bit less than normal. At night before bed, exercise for like a half an hour.

GOOD LUCK!

I am sorry You are beautiful no matter what
I have noticed that if you take the temption out of your house its easier to cope because its just not there
Also exercise may seem hard but you can try just small steps
Like walking home it may seem hard but it will get easier and easier or just going up and down stairs a few times
I know it sounds hard but the more you try the easier it will get and the less you try the harder it will get
Remember that you should only be doing this for you
If none of that floats your boat just dance or do stuff you enjoy

Hey Megan I know how you feel. I'm over-weight also and find it hard to shop for clothing too. When I found this website it really helped, and after awhile I relised that all it takes to loosing weight is motivation and will-power. It's not easy at first, but if you really want to lose weightt you need to stick towards a healthy diet and good excercise. Try doing a sport that interest you. Mabey you could try some yoga or pilates, that will increase your flexibilaty. I find if you do somthing you enjoy it helps distract you from all the heavy breathing and stuff. Now I suggjest a nice healthy diet. Vegetables and fruits, and good meat lots of protein. Don't eat alot of junkfood, or high calorie foods. You should try to avoid things with high sodium and sugar. Now i'm not saying you should completly cut out sugar from your diet, just cut back on the heavy eating. I recomend a book cal... (view more)

My plan is the following: I keep a food diary where I write down what I eat, the calories, my mood, notes, and the total. I have a calorie limit (1400 for me). Mon-Fri I walk every day for about 50 minutes at a brisk pace. On Saturdays, I have a dance class. And on Sundays, I rest. I lose an average of 1-2 pounds a week. You may be eating too much. To lose weight, you've got to burn more calories than you eat. You must burn 3500 calories to lose a pound. So, burn 500 calories a day or cut 250 while burning 250, or, simply cut 500 calories from your diet. GOOD LUCK! Also, strength training boosts your metabolism so you burn more calories naturally! Remember to take your viatmins.

write your short term goal weight on your wrist. like if you wanted to get to 178 or 179 at the week, write it and look at it before you reach for food.

Hey, all you have to do is eat healthy. You don't have to go on some crazy diet. You basicly just stay away from fried, fatty, and junk food. REMEMBER THAT. And you should exersize as much as possible. Dosen't matter what you do as long as you are playing, dancing, running, playing a sport, ect. Some things that could help you eat less are........1. If you want, on your fridge, you can put a picture of the person that you want to have a body like. So when you think about pigging out, you can look at them and say to yourself "If I want to have a body like theirs, I need to stay away from that junkfood"2. You can chew sugar free gum whenever you have a craving for junk food3. drink a lot of water b-4 meals so you won't be as hungry so you won't eat as much4. drink a lot of water anytime, anyplace5. cut your meals in half and save the rest for laterThats pretty much all that I can think of. HOPE I HELPED! PS R u a boy or a girl? and how much do you weigh?

my advice to u is to take your time, and try to take your excercize more out side as in walking or jogging, and eat alittle less a day.

Basically the concept of losing weight is that you have to burn more calories then you take in. So exercise is almost a must in losing weight. Try to exercise for 30 minutes 3+ days a week. You don't have to do boring videos or classes to get exercise. You can do it by doing things you like. Such as taking a walk with a friend, I find that when I'm talking to someone while walking I forget that I'm actually exercising because I'm having fun! You could also swim, ride your bike, jump on a trampaline (sp?) or join a sports team...you could do basketball, soccer, softball or whatever sport you like. As far as eating goes don't restrict yourself to much. Other wise you'll just give up and you won't get anywhere. Let yourself have a SMALL treat once a week. Like a kiddie size ice cream or a servings of chips. Try to eat 4-5 vegtables or fruits a day. A mixture of both is the best. And one last thing, don't lose hope. It's a long hard road but you'll get to the end! *Ray*Ray* If you want more help email me sweeti_gurl2003@yahoo.com
