Heres a really good motivation to get started on exercising and eating healthier. Go to the parents part of this site and see what all that delicious food is doing to your arteries. Thats motivation enough for me.

the atkins is not good... it tricks your body into thinking that it is starving... and being deprieved of what it needs (carbohydrates) so as soon as you start to eat like a normal person, carbs/protein and fats... your body tries to store carbs as energy, for fear that it will be deprieved again... the same thing would happen if you cut out protein, even though you need 70% less of it than carbohydrates, it is vital.... you would loose weight the same way as in restricting carbs... but your skin would go green, purple, and start to wrinkle and fall off... you would also loose muscle... but atkins has a fair few cons too, namely ''bad breath, bad skin, spots, greasy hair and skin, and plenty others'' ... so really the best diet would be a balanced healthy diet complied with some good excersise and plenty of water... that is your best route to a healthy life......... arent we lucky we are able to have one...

hi my name is ashley and i am 12 years old. i weigh a little over 200 lbs and i am about 5'5. i really didnt worry about my weight until i last year in my 6th grade health class. we started talking about weight problems and it really scared me! i mean just thinking that i can die from being over-weight just scares me! so please please please if anyone can give me some exercising tips or weight loss tips i would be so thankful!

Today: 151 lb, Goal: 140 lb - Hey Lovvies, I'm backChristmas is here (almost)Today i did walk strong, and pilates, and i feel good. I had to bake cookies, and I limited myself to 2 (if i want one) a day. i'm 151 right now- my weight range should be no more than 143, so I'll make my goal 140. I look somewhat thin because of my frame, but i'm not happy. I want to be able to do things and not get out of breath so easily, catch me?I bet half of you are losing weight for that reason. I mean, I'm tired of being out of breath in gym and trying to hide it.So after these two weeks of break, I expect to be at least 3 pounds lighter. That's all for now.Oh, and when i get cravings, i just tell myself that i could be working on something. it's helped so far.--Taylor

If you are scared you should go to your doctor and have him test for diabetes, if you are diabetic you should do what your doctor tells you, if not try to lose weight by exercising and eating healthy before you become diabetic. Im sorry that your scared but if you work hard in a year you could be the healthiest youve ever been! :)

to FatBoy: how much do you weigh? because if you weigh like 300 or something, then you should really try to eat healthier and stop gaining weight, because thats VERY unhealthy to get any fatter. if you weigh closer to 200, then never mind. since i dont mind being fat too much (i didnt say that i liked it, i just dont mind being fat) i dont really try to diet, actually i eat alot. over the summer, i gained about 25 lbs (not on purpose though), and i dont care too much. but id stop if i got fat enough for it to effect my health. right now i weigh 205-210 lbs, but i'd try to diet if i got up to around 260 lbs. you may think that 205 is alot for my age, and it is, but im really tall (i'm 5'9").

Liposuction costs alot of money. When used you can gain fat lumps in strange places, like your shoulder blades. It can be dangerous losing that great much in one day, and after liposuction you just gain it back. More liposiction, then, you say? You want to be on liposuction your whole life? You would go broke on that much liposuction.

hey definetenly dont go on diet pills exspecially if u plan on exercising u see diet pills get ur heart going really fast to make it seem like ur excerising all the time but if u excerisng while using the diet pills ur heart will go so fast and u could get a heartattack if not die i have good ways to diet email me if u want them firstname.lastname@example.org

It's great to be happy but 220 pounds is overweight and it's really unhealthy. You risk diabeties and other horrible sicknesses and diseases. I suggest you go on a weight losing program such as Weight Watchers.

Hi Raygene! I myself am over the average weight of the normal 8th grade girl. I'd like to tell you about my dad. He always ate junk food and the bad stuff with major calories. His doctor told him that if he didn't change his eating habits he could die of a heart attack. So for the past 5 months he has lost 25 pounds and is much more healthy. The point is you should try to gradually eat healthier and exercise before you have to so fast that your life is literally on the line. I am learning from my dad's influence. c-ya

I am anorexic. I was just diagnosed. At first I was in denial, but it is true and its real in me. I lost 35 pounds in 3 months. I went from 165 to 130! I was a size 15, and now I am a slim 8. Whatever you do DO NOT become bulimic! -your teeth will rot and you will get caught. It is eaiser to tell if you are throwing up rather than starvation. I threw up for awhile and then became anorexic. whatever you do- be careful. if your chest hurts- tell someone or eat. You get heart problems and liver problems and within 6 or so months you will be being fed through a tube like I was. So watch out!! :(
try windsor pilates. try water aerobics too. and if you really must take a diet pill. but please dont become bulimic or anorexic. If you do- it wont just involve you- it will get your family into your life a lot and even if you are doing this for attention you could kill yourself this would be so painful. Please talk to someone about this! I dont want you to become like me.

Hey, I heard that diet pills don't really work anyways, and if there is such a big risk, why bother? You may as well just excersise and eat right. Besides, excersise and healthy eating are good for you for more than just weightloss, so you should just do that. =)
