Ht. 5'3", Start: 162 lb, Today: 157 lb (BMI %tile: 94), Goal: 118 lb - I am very concored about my health, and I am loseing weight, 1 so I dont get high blood peurse, 2 Diabets, 3 blood clots, sleep anopnina, and not have a shorter life.. And I want to run faster.. And faster for my state next June.. And I want to be healther.. I dont want cloged artys.. Nasty stuff. For not loseing weight
I know some of you guys, love being fat, I dont think you should like it, It is very unhealthy and you would die.. in your 20's 30's so the best is to lose weight now... I dont want to be overweight. I cant wait when there is a day I reached my goal 118.. And I would be in better shape, and healither too.. I would love it.. And i would jumping off the walls. I would get new clothes... And new shoess feet can srink.. Sometimes..

Yes there is something wrong with that, Scott. That very unhealthy, and not good for your health, and your body. You will reget it, later on, I think you should re think about this again, there is all of kinds of acticves, to get moving, walking, strechs, jump rope, joging, water gun fighting, and swimming, in a lake, or an ocean.. I do excrising all the time.. Walk the dog, your freind's dog or the neighobr's dog.. Teens are dying at a young age because of not excirsing and not doing anything about their extirme overweight issues..

not to sound condescending, but diet drinks are extremely unhealthy in the long run. the aspartame/other artificial sweeteners are soooooooo detrimental to your health. they can cause cancer, depression, ADHD, and you can get "aspartame poisoning". many people have had serious medical problems, and they stopped drinking diet soda, and BAM they went back to normal. all diet drinks are POISON. so don't drink them.

Sorry wrong button...just ignore the previous post. After doing a little bit of research, I found that it is made of methanol (which is highly toxic), Phenylalanine, and aspartic acid. It has been proven to increase appetite, cause nerve damage, learning difficulties, sexual dysfunction, seizures, may be linked to different kinds of cancer, and a bunch of other things. I'm not saying that this is the truth. I don't know what is, But why take the chance? You are better off to be safe. I got this info from http://www.321recipes.com/aspartame.html. Check it out for more info against aspartame.

Ht. ......, Wt. ..... - Hey- I just thought id let yall know something. I know alot of yall drink DIET drinks. All of them have a toxic poision called ASPARTAME, if you drink it alot, your at risk for headache-migranes * seizures* Nausea and numbness* Depression* WEIGHT GAIN*** it also mimicks the signs of MS,(or multiple sclorosis) hearing loss, irritability, tachycardia, insomnia, and long tern FATAL diseases such as cancer, and memory loss!!! Did you know that 97 million people are overweight or obese? yea scary but i got this calendar and under the month of june it has a little bulletin or something about various stuff. so for june it's about weight. did u also know that the prevalence of obesity has increased by 60% in the past 20 years? that's makes u want to do something about it right? of course as u might already know, Amercians are the most fattest people on the planet (i'm american so its not like i'm bashin any1 even though i'm not overweight) and it stands for how poor eating and exercise habits we have. If u are obese u could get diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, stroke, and even some forms of cancer, scary as it may be. It makes you HEALTHIER - and i think thats the most important thing - I'm seriously overweight and im doing something about it because Im scared that i could develop type 2 diabetes or heart diesease. Yeah being thinner is also a factor - but personally I'm not going to let dieting take over my life, just have a healthier life so I can go out and have FUN!!!!!

Thats a good tip, anne. 416 lbs is a bit much. (sorry, im from america and it makes it easier if i convert it to english) if you really weigh that much, then u really need to talk to a doctor. weighing that much could kill you!!! youd better do something about it before you die. by the way, how tall are you? if u need a buddy or something, my email address is pavili255@velocitus.net maybe we can work at our goals together!! im 5'8 and 205 lbs (1.73 meters and 93 kg, to make it easier on you) c u!! and good luck!

you can definately lose weight by diet alone- the thing is- it'll go faster and there are a lot of benefits to exersize- but you can add that in later, i guess. when i don't exersize i lose 1 pound per week by dieting but i can lose 2 pounds when i add in exersize plus i feel better. well- good luck- i would try to at least exersize a tiny bit but if you can't then you can't i suppose...

sean, no offence but thats not true. not eating saturated fat and cholestrol will help ur arteries from gettin clogged... but if u r overweihgt u can still get things like diabetes, high blood pressure, joints waring out, trouble breathing, and liver probs..  sorry...

this reply is to sean- you can be healthy in the cholesteral and blood work stuff, but not fit and there are some very unhealthy diseases you can get from being overweight. for one- you're not doing cardiovascular exersizes enough (if you are obese) meaning you'll have lung probs and be more subjected to cardiovascular diseases, and your joints will definately not thank you later in life!

i hate not being fit becasue i'm overweight more then i love eating. and i know what makes my body feel bad when i don't treat itright. so far my body's been feeling better then ever since i've been eating better and exersizing more...maybe you should try it- you don't have to be skinny but don't hurt your body by what you're doing by gaining and gaining- it's not healthy.

having too much fat is unhealthy- you can't run as fast, you get tired more easily, your heart has to work harder to keep you going,you are at a greater risk for MANY diseases like diabetes, and you could die sooner. You can't fit into as small of places (like airplane seats) or if you can fit it is more uncomfortable. If you have too much fat on your stomach you will have worse posture because your back will be stressed and also the lower back gets sore. If you have too much fat you can't see your muscle even if you are really strong. And that's just a scratch off the surface!

dont listen to melissa sorry melissa but what your suggesting is for her to starve herself and thats not good..if you go on a no calorie diet you are most likly to get sick, dizzy, and have heart faliure..plus if you do go on a no calorie diet your body will go into starvation mode and it will hang on to your stored away body fat it !!! so in the long run its not good! just eat healthy..lots of fruits vegetables drink plenty of water at least 8 ounces of water 6-12 times a day..excercise at least 30-45 minutes a day it can be riding a bike..working in the garden, cleaning your house or what ever and believe me you WILL lose weight you have to be patient
