ignore your family when you do pilates- hey- because if they're picking on you then it's there loss- oops- i mean yours- that's right- your FAT loss. lmao- ok so that was real korny but anyways that's what i do and i have a brother and someone that's not even in my family living with us but it's not like they sit there and gawk at me during my workouts. working out makes me feel a lot better then anything anyone could say to me or do to me to bring me down and when i'm finished i don't care because at least i did it!

Hi everyone! Well, this isn't totally on topic, but my dad has been looking for some activity for me to do, and well, he found this exersize class that meets three days a week, but it's for adults. I'm really shy around kids my own age...Around grown ups it's even worse. I'm SO scared. Any advice would be grately appriciated.

Trust me, working with adults is so much better than working with kids/teenagers! All the people there will (probably) be there for the same reason as you, so you have no reason to be nervous. Good Luck.

This is not about me. I am overweight too, but one of my friends, Shane, is overweight. He is 160 lbs, but he seems to be proud that he is overwieght. He will shake his stomach around and jiggle it, and show off that he is overwieght. He once scoffed down a whole cake, 3 pizza's, and 5 shakes, when we were hanging out. It kind of imbarresses me when he shows of his large stomach. He has been put on a diet many times, but when at lunch, he gets everyones left over's, which is like 6 sanwiches. He eats them all! It just discourages me when he shows off by pulling his stomach out and showing it to everyone. I am sorry if I offended anyone who reads this, but I needed to let out my feelings about Shane.

Maybe he's showing off b/c thats his way of hiding that he really is embarrassed of being over weight..seems weird but it happens ya know? Welp later!

Hi! I myself am very overweight. I am 5ft5 and weigh 196lbs. I REALLY need to lose weight and think it would beneficial to have a weight loss friend. It is alot easier if you have somebody to talk 2 when times get tough and even when things are going well. I suggest buying a big pad that you can use as a journal to keep account of the food you're eating, the exercise you are doing, and your feelings. I'm buying one at the weekend. I also suggest buying an exercise video. Aerobics videos are fun, and if you are like me and find exercising in public humiliating, then it takes away the embarrasement. If you want to be dieting friends then you can email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
