15 lbs is incredible!!! Plateau's are inevitable...your body is getting used to losing weight...just keep giving it your all, you should lose more, and if you don't...keep eating healthy and exercising because the weight that you are at might be good for your body. Good luck:-)

weight loss plateaus are when you stop losing weight but you're doiong all of the stuff that were to lose weight before. could you be losing that weight so irregularly because you're more determined on week?

ugh! i know what that's like being on a weight loss plateau! i was the same weight for 4 weeks once. what you should do is bump up your exersize or add it to your plan if you already don't. if you already don't exersize do it for at least 20 minutes a day and don't go two days without exersize- if you already are exersizing increase the intensity of it a bit and exersize for 10 more minutes a day. along with this exersize increase drink more water also. good luck! i can completely sypathize!

why don't you just continue to do what you're doing to lose weight in the first place but boost up your exersizing if you're on a plateau...

high intensity aerobis such as taebo- so that it speeds your motab. and eat high fiber veggies and drink tons of water- you know eveerything you've already heard. but kicking up your workout a notch is really beneficial!

Hey, first off I would like to say congratulations on losing 25 pounds! It's hard, and you're doing great! The fact thta you've weighed 180 for four weeks isn't a bad thing either - you are not gaining weight! It's good that you have the long walk to help you. You might want to try power walking, or jogging. Start off by walking for five minutes, then jog for three, walk for five, etc. for the first couple of days. Then increase your jogging times, and decrease your walking times. It will help. You may also want to try some sports such as skating, snowboarding, skiing - things that you can do and enjoy with your friends and get in better shape while you're at it!

you should try a higher intensity workout then such as speed up your walking or do some jogging or taebo or something fun or fast dancing so it speeds up your metabolism and burns more calories to get you off of your weight loss platue...good luck- and that's awesome that you've lost 25 pounds keep at it!

Well I think that you should just eat right and exercise like you do now even a bit more. Just eat lots of fruits and veggies, try the new healthy food they are coming out with. Some of the food is really good! But overall just eat a variety of good healthy food. Good luck!

Hi, well, what works very good for me is eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables (trying to limit carbs and sugars) and getting out and shooting hoops or walking or just running around for about an hour everyday. Also, if your interested in counting calories, a great way to break the weight plateau is to divide calories (a week total of around 9500) into uneven segments throughout the week, starting with Sunday with about 1100 and Wednesday being most with about 1800, then going back down. This speeds up your metabolism by giving it more food, yet you won't gain any weight because your week total is still an average of around 1200. Good luck!

When you do the same routine repeatedly, your body just gets used to it. So maybe if you tried doing a bit more excersize (which really, you dont sound like you need). But as you loose more weight, its harder to loose even more, so dont be discouraged, your weight will shed. But slowlier that before. And also, could you post some tips? I think we all could use some! thanks a bunch and goooood luck!

hey! good job on that 20 lbs. This must be kinda like a midpoint where you kinda are getting...well, not as strict on the diet or something. I just recommend to keep going at it. Maybe you've hit a plateau (spell check) and won't lose for awhile, but if you continue to do everything right and exercise, eventually you will start losing faster again:-) That's for me too, I'm on a plateau, but I'm still trying, and it's coming off little by little. Keep at it girl, you started to reach your goal, don't waste all that effort and stop and gain it back, this must be a lifestyle change. Not a "just until I get there" kinda thing.
