I have recently lost about 35 pounds, I would say in about a month and a half ( maybe two months) I still would like to lose about 10-20 pounds then I will be very happy but it is getting there! I weighed about 175 pounds and was 5'7". Now I weight 150 and am the same height. The way I lost it didn't necessarily start out good though. When I started eating too much I would feel sick. Then, about the next day even if I ate very little I still wouldn't feel very good. So for the next month I kept eating very little. I know it is a very unhealthy way to lose weight! When I didn't eat as much I would lose weight and feel happier. When I started not eating as much I did feel better, I don't eat healthy really though and still need to work on my daily diet. I realized how much moderation in foods does count. I also started not thinking about eating, therefor I would not take up my time eating ... (view more)

hey ppl!i think the problem about overweight ppl is that they wanna lose weight in so litle time , so that doesnt works they wain the weight again, then get depressed and eat more, so as u can see the 3 weeks's diets to lose LOTS of weight DOESNT WORKS!!! You need to change your mind, this means that food and ur weight is only something else in ur life and NO ALL UR FKN LIFE!!!U need to learn how to eat, if u think that eating 2 MINTS for breakfast is the way ur gonna lose weight UR COMPLETELY WRONG!!! ok ur eating the mints for breakfast then ull be sooo hungry and eat everything u find!!!U NEED TO LEARN WHAT U HAVE TO EAT, WHEN AND HOWNo to starve urself!!!cya!

I feel for you Melissa. Its tough to lose weight if your depressed because if your like me (225 lbs) you use food to treat your depression. But what I realised is that its a vicious circle thing because when I overeat I get more overweight and I get more depressed so I eat even more to make myself feel better and gain even more weight, get more depressed and it just gets worse. What I did to break the vicious circle was... 1) I got a dog. Hes wonderful. Hes my friend and we take walks together every day, even we jog some. That keeps me from heading for the fridge all the time and is fun exercise. 2) I been going to counseling at the mental health clinic. It doesnt cost much. My counselor talked about a antidepressent medication but I dont think I even need it now. 3) I go dancin at the community center thing every Sunday. Im shy but theres guys who are worse dancers than me... lol. 4) I... (view more)

well you can change that!! talk to a doctor or a parent. there is lots of low fat/low sugar foods you can eat. and when you eat healthy foods in healthy portions you'll feel so good about yourself! try to exercise, maybe just walking (atleast 20 minutes) GOOD LUCK YOU CAN DO IT!

When I was 12, I weighed 236 lbs. I felt horrible, and I had no self esteem. I would look in the mirror and get depressed, so I would eat, then I would look in the mirror and get depressed...and so on.. I decided not to let it happen anymore. I started walking every day and riding my bike as often as I could. I also cut all of the extra sugar and fat out of my diet, only having it ocasionally. It really helped. Now, at 16, I weigh 127 lbs. It is a great feeling to be able to run and jump without feeling out of breath. It is also great to feel good about yourself. keep trying, and you can lose weight too.
