All I can tell you is eat the right kinds of foods in the right amounts, drink lots of water and exercise everyday. Also when you eat a meal and you feel just right not too full or not full enough, stop eating. lol I know it's difficult but you can do it! Have fun doing it too. Ask your parents if they want to go for a walk with you that way the walk isn't so hard on you. When I walk alone I tend to walk a short distance because I don't have something distracting from getting tired. When you walk with someone you talk and talk lol and you don't really notice how far you have actually gone. lol well i wish you the best of luck! and remember don't over do it!

Hi! My friend and I are also going into high school and we also wanted to lose weight and improve our bodies... So that is what we did!!! First, we started walking every morning for about 10 minutes. Then as time goes on we started jogging for about 25 minutes each time. We drank a lot more water and we totally cut out soft drinks and sugary juices. But we still have three meals a day and we have snacks but instead of having chips we eat fruit. And once a week on the weekends we go out to Rita's and get an italian ice. AND REMEBER JOGGING IS 50% MENTAL. and if you stick to eating healthy you can loser upto 15 pounds in a month just like we did.And last but not least. ""BEAUTY IS ON THE INSIDE, NOT THE OUTSIDE"

well u can start by eating salads and other well balanced meals. when u snack in between meals have a fruit or a veggie...i find apricots good umm...start walking around ur neighborhood, and once u get used to walking, try power walking then some jogging. take ur time into losing ur excess weight...i know ur anxious to lose it all at once but take your time. just eat healthy (a little bit of every food group unless u r a vegan or somethin) and exercise every week. good luck with ur weight loss!!

Just a few suggestions:
1. Drink a glass of ice cold water every hour.
2. Chew sugar free gum or suck on sugar free hard candies.
3. Do something else to keep your mind off of eating (clean, exercise, etc.)
4. Drink green tea (it's filling and boosts your metabolism).
5. Chew on crushed ice (although it's probably not good for your teeth).
6. Take deep breaths.
7. Just think about how losing weight will feel, etc. or your goals.

Hey,
I WAS in your situation. I weighed 196 and was 13. I am now 42 lbs smaller and am still trying to get off about 20 lbs. You probably will wnat to start with changing your eating habits. I know when I did I lost 9 lbs in the first week. Then I made my summer into a exercise boot-camp. I was waking up every morning and walking/running a mile. This really helped. I love shopping now because I can go straight to the 11/12 and know they'll fit instead of grabbing 18. For girls that isn't very fun. E-mail me anytime and I can give ya tips. Selenafan@pa.net

Hey! Ok.....This might seem a little hard but it's really not if you stick to it.
First of all, you don't need soft drinks or candy. (HARDEST PART HAHA). Do not eat foods high in : Sugar, Fat, Calories, Carbohydrates, or Salt! Here are some of the things I eat : Grilled chicken, Grilled Fish, Grilled shrimp, Salad, Healthy Cereal, Fruit, Vegetables, Steak, Salsa(eat without chips), and more. Now, if you will learn to eat things like this, it will help your body to be much healthier. There is a quote that has helped me that goes like this...."Do you eat to live or live to eat?" (Think about that! Let that sink in for a minute) Ok, and I exercise daily. I go to a gym but if you can't i would suggest running, walkin, and jogging everyday. Start one day and go for 10 minutes. Then raise your time ever few days. You should get up to 30 minutes. You can also do jumping jacks, sit ups,... (view more)

Just eat healthier and drink lots of water. Don't forget to exercise! Every night, go for a walk or a jog. That's a great way to stay healthy and get some physical activity. Remember, that losing weight does take time, but if you do it slower, it is more likely to stay off and you will be satisfied with your results. Good luck and I hope that I helped.

1st of all, you gotta quit eating fast food! It's not a hard thing to do, PLUS you'll save yourself some money!
Next, you have to fight the cravings. Do anything you can before you eat. Play video games, watch a movie that you haven't seen before and hide the remote, or do something else. Then if you still have a craving wait 5 minutes before you get up. Then...wait 5 more...
Next, teach yourself to use PORTION CONTROL. That means, if you usually eat a half a bag of Doritos, stop, look at the SERVING SIZE (for Doritos (11 chips), and leave the bag in the kitchen. I know 11 Doritos doesn't seem like a lot, but if you crunch them up you'll have even more (but you'll STILL be eating that 11)...
Then exercise is very important. Do things that you like to do, you don't necessarily have to run or do weight training, if you like playing basketball do it. If you like riding your... (view more)

Cut back on junk food and stick to more healthier items (Fruit, Vegetables, Milk.....) Drink lots of water and don't forget the most important thing: EXERCISE!
Walk to school, walk to places instead of sitting at home and watching TV. Summer is almost here and the weather is great, so take your bike and ride it around the block a couple of times. Run, jog, walk places and enjoy the nice hot weather! Don't waste a perfectly good summer staying indoors, go out and enjoy yourself! Good luck!

First of all, Don't worry about what your friends look like because they are NOT you. Another thing is, if you seriously want to lose pounds, participate at P.E. and also start an excercise routine at home. You can do the same excercises you do at P.E. at home, and then go for a jog. Also, you can start substituting the junk food you eat and grab a piece of fruit. Or if at lunch you're friends always eat the school lunch try bringing you're own.
