Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 170 lb (BMI: 26), Goal: 145 lb - so today is day 7 of my diet and i tihnk ive done pretty darn good. tomorrow i write down my weight and i hope to be 169.. reasonable goal right? 1 pound a week. i want to lose 20 pounds by July. so thats an average of 4 pounds per month, which would be 1 pound or so per week. I could have exercised more i tihnk. i did a 15 min cardio video (Turbo Jam) twice this week, as well as worked out on the elliptical, and i plan on doing turbo jam once more tonight. i can tell i lost weight (mostly water) because my too-tight jeans are now very comfortable. thank god for that, i thought i was going to be living in track pants for the rest of my life lol anyways, hope everyones doing well, wish me luck! 169lbs by tomorrow *crosses fingers**... ta-ta!

Ht. 5'8", Start: 272 lb, Today: 258 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 120 lb - I havent posted in a while because I was so upset I gained some weight over the holidays.At first I started on October,25,2008 at 272 pounds.Then I dieted(but no excersise) until December,25,2008.I weighed in at 252!!!I had lost 20 pounds:)But the holidays came and went....and I gained 10 pounds....making me 262!Ughh.I was no where near as strong as I had been during halloween.Well I havent exactly been "dieting",but watching what I ate atleast,and now im 258.Which is better than 262 but not as good as 252 was.Oh,and im in p.e,which is pure TORTURE!I feel like im about to faint when its over,and all we do is run for 3 minutes warm up,then 20 minutes of running,then 3 minutes of warm-down.Im the fatest one in there,no comparison.Well,thanks for reading.And good luck!

I really need some advice.
So, me and my family have been going through some very hard times...(we're dirt poor)
And, I really want to lose weight..
But I don't know how to talk to my parents about it.
They're both obese and unhealthy...especially my mom.
Really, I know how to lose weight...
But I can't get motivated...
How can I tell my parents that I want to lose weight?
BTW, I can assure you that most of the weight loss is muscle mass :)

Ht. 5'3", Start: 163 lb, Today: 152 lb (BMI %tile: 95), Goal: 115 lb - I think i might be stuck on a plateau... so im going to weigh myself right now. and then i'm going to weigh myself again saturday night and see if theres any difference. if there is, i'm going to stick to my current diet. if not, then i'm going to try the calorie shifting method. that might work. I'm not too sure though. so we'll see.

Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 170 lb (BMI: 26), Goal: 145 lb - the past 3 days have been awesome. amazing actually. i decided to turn this old notebook into a food journal. i write down everything i eat and how many calories, how much exercise i do and even goals for the next day to do better. i find its been helping because it holds you responsible for everything youve been eating. you cant lie to yourself when you see it written on paper. i dunno if ive lost anything yet, im not weighing myself until monday. that way, i can keep focused and not get discouraged after a couple days of dieting and not seeing a change. i might even wait 2 weeks, but im not sure. i think the suspense just might kill me. anyways, hope everyones doing well. good luck!

Ht. 5'0", Start: 228 lb, Today: 219.5 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 170 lb - So far I've lost a total of 8.5 lbs! yay. =D 31.5 more lbs to go till I reach a 40 lb weight loss. I hope I can do it. Good luck everyone with their goals.

I did pretty good today. Breakfast: apples and yogurt Lunch: healthy choice panini Afternoon snack: cup of milk Dinner: (I didnt eat yet) but im going to eat these dumplings that my mom made. ground beef and carrots as the filling. they have 200 calories per 6. so im going to eat 15 of those. which is about 500 ish. and later tonight i'm going to have carrots and ranch as a snack.

Now that i'm 20 i cant blame annny of this on "baby fat" (not like i ever really did lol) so obviously i went out to dinner, had cake, had beer, etc. but today im back on track. My goal is to be at 150 by July 1st. which means i have 5 and a half months to lose 20 pounds. i calculated it, and all i have to lose is 4 pounds a month. 4 pounds is nothing!!! so why cant i do it?? i'm going to give this another try. im sick of being 170 (and more, i go up and down). ive been this weight since JUNE!! thats enough. i want to be smaller. i know i can do it, i just need to get fricken serious about it for once and stop procrastinating. So far today, ive had tofu and stir fried vegetables.... and a lean cuisine meal with some salad. Ht. 5'4", Start: 181 lb, Today: 170 lb (BMI %tile: 96), Goal: 166 lb - Okay, so The Jiullian Michaels book scares me, It makes me feel like im on the biggest loser myself 0_0 Everything is so strict... it tells you the percentages of fat, protain, and carbs you should be eating, for your metabolism. It doesnt really work well for me though, I am supposed to eat more protain then carbs and fat, but im vegetarian. =.= It doesnt reall say andthing about it, and in the thirty day meal plan for my metabolic type there is meat in every meal.... And the exersize plan is kinda hard to follow, there a lot of exersizes in there that i dont know, and I need to learn them. So I think I am going to get down to 160 before I start that plan. So far today all I have had is a boca meatless chicken patty, with a slice of pepperjack cheese (no bun) and a cup of soy milk, so I think I will do okay. School starts again tomorrow, so we will see how that goes!
