I started dieting a month ago because its almost summer and I'm going to be in Florida in April. I am 5'6 and started at 162 lbs, but I've lost 20 and am now at 142 lbs today. I still hope to drop another 20, especially since college is next year. The secret to success was not the greatest for me though. I've ran like 3 miles every other day, 60 situps, 50 push-ups (the girly kind), and 50 leg lifts a day. I also eat one meal a day, or at least try to and cut way back on the carbs. This probably isn't the greatest way to lose weight, even though it is effective, and I woudn't really recommend it and less you are in a time crunch to lose weight.

I’ve lost 9 lbs in four weeks. I used to weight 171 lbs now I weight 162 lbs and I’m so proud of myself! My goal is 127 lbs. My advise to those who wanna lose weight is to eat much fruit and veggies and drink lots of water. Also exercies as much as you can!
Good Luck!

when i first starting my dieting i wieghed 185 i lost 15 pounds by myself but then i started to put it back on and i would get really sad and depressed, so my mom being the the wonderful mother that she is decided that me and her would go to weight watchers so that for the summer we both could get new bathing suits. well wieght waaatchers has worked great. i am now at 155 and am 5' 6". i am really happy and proud of myself. my ideal wieght is 135 and i am well on the way. but i will say one thing it isn't as easy as most people make it sound.

As a kid I was always quite overweight. I was made fun of a lot in school. I must say my self esteem was very low. In about 7th grade I decided to start dieting. It didn't work. I could never stick with it. I really did have a food addiction. I always wanted to be able to shop in the jr's department and wear the cute LEI jeans like the other girls. I never thought this could happen because I had reached 220 lbs at the end of my freshman year. The following fall in 10th grade my mom got me some help with a personal trianer. Since October I have been working out 4 times a week and following a strict diet. I am down to 140 lbs!!!!!!!! I am a size 7/8. My closet is filled with denim mini skirts and halter tops. Taking off the weight has changed my life. I will have to say that I would like to loose at least 20 more lbs. I have recently started a intense body building program along with fat reduction supliments to get off the rest of the weight. Good luck to all those who want to loose. Congrats to those who did!

hello. i am 5-4, and i used 2 weigh 153 pounds. but now i weigh 145 pounds, and the funny thing is, (now i know this isn't good, but listen). when i lost my 8 pounds, i didn't reduce my food to a minimum at all. i just ate normally, sometimes i would skip meals cause i wasn't hungry, and i would go bike riding with my best friend. But at this time, i had totally given up on losing weight because i had only lost 3 pounds in 1 and a half weeks. the thing is, i kept FORCING my self to walk 30 minutes a day. i know that every day sounds like i would lose weight fast, but i hate walking. i love riding my bike. (and its a good workout 4 ur but, lol). like i said before, i wasn't dieting during this time or anything. i checked the scale 2 days ago, and i saw that i had lost 5 more pounds! i was so suprised! but you know what the moral of this whole story is? dont force yourself to do some kind... I have read alot of these sucess stories and it has even me more confidence. I don't want to lose this weight for neone but me. I'm glad I have found this web site. This has been a relief to see more people like me. At the end of the diet i will weigh 110 lbs. I have lost the 7 lbs by exercising everyday and eating only 1000 calories, 20g of fat, and 300 carbs. It has worked great, and I can't wait to see. I have gone through alot and i deserve to get this. Don't let ne1 put you guys down.Love, Tara

I'm 15, and i'm 5'2. Before last summer, i weighed 135lbs. For 5'2, that's too much. During the summer, I kept my calories down to about 1000 a day. I also didn't eat after 6:00 or so pm. Now I weigh about 112, which is about the perfect weight. The main thing, lots of water, and make a calorie goal, so you won't go over so many calories a day. For me it was 1000, but that's because i didn't excercise much. If you work out and excercise, it probably needs to be a little bit higher. Good luck!
