I'm going to be in 10th grade this year and looking in the mirror it realy blows my mind; in 8th grade I was 2 inches shorter and 40 pounds heavier. I am now 5ft 2in 15 7/12 years old, and only 114 pounds! My ultimate goal is 105. That may sound light but for my age I am really really short so it is actually average. Anyway, number one don't look at the scale, weight is always flucuating if you keep checking the scale everyday you will get depressed and comfort eat, not because you are getting fatter but because your weight always changes little changes that don't mean anything but that can make you depressed. So don't always check the scale try to hold it back to once every two weeks. Most of the time the way we feel is based on the way we think we look. So you can look in the mirror, maybe your wearing your fav. shirt and you think "hey, I look good" but then you check the scale and... (view more)

Well i havent reached my goal yet, But i have lost 21 pounds...Right now ive lost 3 pounds in 3 days i am vvery happy, I started at 170, and now im on 149...When i came here for vacation i wuz 155 and i lost 6 pounds! THis is great..But i eat normally just not alot, If you eat a lil and chew alot it works..also i go to the gym everyday to burn off the calories..I love the gym its Awesome!

Pushups REALLY help flatten your stomach!! Ive been doing it for only 5 days and i already see results!! I started doing 100 a day and then 100 in the morning and 100 in the evening.. At first it hurt alot but i pushed myself and now it feels so easy! Now im doing 100 in the morning 150 the afternoon and 150 in the evening. I used to be able to stick my tummy out like 5 inches and now i can only stick it out 1 1/2!! Im not totally at my goal weight yet but im getting there! Now im gonna try jogging and jumping jacks to lose the rest off my thighs and hips. I can do it!! So can you !! Good luck!!!

Hey people. I gained weight when I had gone through a major depression that occured about 6 or 7 years ago. I kept eating more than I should, and the most I've weighed was 198 pounds. One day when I got on that scale, it actually hit me that "omg, I'm 198 lbs....." I suddenly slapped myself into gear, and I quit the snacking. I drank more water and ate smaller and smaller portions and I was before. I'm now 5'7" and 154 lbs. I still plan on losing about 20 more pounds, but knowing I've lost 44 already, I know I can do it. All I can say is don't quit! Losing weight can happen! Just stick with it and don't give up!

hi everyone i havent reached my goal yet but i have done such an awesome job i wanted to share it with u this is how my story starts ... i have been really overweight ALL of my life xcept when i was a baby i was like 100lbs and in the 3rd or 4th grade (not cool) and by the time a reached 6th grade was when i had trouble fitting into sum clothes i tryed to squeeze my butt into a size 13 in juniors which was way too tight but i didnt wanna be the grl that was in the misses / womens clothes and thru 7th grade i was like that too, at the beginning of the year i was 5'3 and 157 but then i grew 2 inches by the end and was about the same maybe a lil more or a lil less and i always wanted to be pretty and skinny and have a b/f and not have to worry about what ppl thought of me in my bathingsuit thats when i decided i'd have to change at the begining of the summer i tryed and tryed andtryed... Hey everyone... when i was in 7th grade i weighed 168 pounds i knew i was overweight and i had to do something about it...but the problem was i never liked to exercise and i had trouble because i always ate and my stomach was always growling...one day i told my mom that i really had to get control over my weight so my mom called my dietion and told her that i wanted to loose weight so i went to her and she gave me a diet plan which was 1)eat 2-3 serving of fruit a day 2) drink 3+ glasses of water a day 3) ahve 2 milk products a day 4) have 1 piece of red meat a week (JUST 1!) 5) eat 2-3 servings of vegtibles a day 6) exercise 3 times a week for 15 min then after 1 month go up to 30 minutes 5) dont sleep in past 10:00 am (over sleeping makes you eta more in the day) 7)KEEP OCCUPIED! 8) have 1-2 snacks a day... ive been sticking to this diet form for about 1 month and a half and i lost 15... At first I realized what I was doing to myself. 273 lbs, high blood pressure, testing for diabetes, couldnt even walk around the county fair without huffing. So one day sitting before the TV, I looked down at the dog and said, let's go for a walk. Did this everyday for a week. Second week came, and when I got home the dog wouldnt leave me alone. Everytime I moved, he jumped up and ran for the door barking. I realized he wanted to go for a walk. Started feeling guilty about not taking him, so everyday I came home and went walking right away. Began to feel awesome. Pulled out my bike one day and decided to ride it around my 3mile walk route. Barely made one mile, and so sore. But it was getting to be summer and too hot to take a long haired dog out. Now a year later, I'm down 107lbs, still riding, up to 20 miles a day, takes about 1 hr 20 min to do, but I love it. And water people, lots of water. I drink about a gallon a day. Hard at first, but now never far from a bottle.

Then I spirled into the cycle of self image once again.
It was not fun. I would always cry when I thought to hard about my body. I tried all sorts of diets. I pretended it was "Health", but I secretly just wanted to be smaller and beautiful.

I have 1.5 lbs to go before I reach my goal for now! I may change it later, but this is how I did it. Eat ONLY when you are hungry and stop when you arent anymore, not stuffed. If that is hard then cut in half what you would normally eat and save one half for later. Exercise alot also. Good luck!

Well, I have not yet reached my goal, but I am more than half-way there! I am 11 and I was 102lbs.! I had kept gaining every year until I saw some different articles and programs on discovery health, about how being overweight could cause different illnesses and could become fatal. I decided to start a small diet (just by eating only the serving size it said on the box) and exercising regularly (bike rides, hikes, riding my horses, sit-up's, push-up's, etc.) I am now down to 95lbs.(in 12days)and I hope to be down to 90 lbs. by august 15
