Start: Ht. 142 cm, 42 kg ( BMI %tile: 94)    Today: Ht. 149 cm, 38 kg (BMI %tile: 47) - Everyday I ate for breakfast 1 slice of toast with light butter, 1 fruit, 1 actimel/yoghurt/milk and and additional boiled egg if I was hungry. I have done this for 2 years and I was bullied for being fat since I was 4. Oh and don't eat any desert. (If you NEED desert have a fruit salad with low fat yoghurt). My old one was a typo!!!  (Note: 149 cm, 38 kg is 4'11", 84 lb.)

Start: Ht. 5'1", 115 lb ( BMI %tile: 83)    Today: Ht. 5'1", 111 lb (BMI %tile: 78) - Hi!! I have always been a bit chubby-not fat or really "overweight" but bigger than most girls in my grade. I'm considered to be a healthy weight right now, but I'm near the top oh BMI charts and things like that. Plus I'm a bit fat (size 14-16 in kids or extra small in women's), so I want to keep losing.
Yes, I've only lost about four pounds but I'm working very hard to get in shape, not just to become skinny. And with these changes I am losing a little weight each day and I feel a lot better. What I've done is simply tried to cut everything unhealthy from my diet as a first step. I've never really enjoyed soda, so drinking only water wasn't a huge challenge. I'm avoiding candy, cake, popcorn, and things like that as much as I can. And if I do eat it, I don't take a lot. I don't have second servings of things... (view more)

Start: Ht. 5'7", 180 lb ( BMI: 28)    Today: Ht. 5'7", 120 lb (BMI: 19) - Just an update - finally hit my goal weight! Calorie counting apps to stay aware of what all I was eating, and at least 30 minutes of cardio a day! My usual choice was the elliptical, but sometimes to switch it up, I'd dance or go for a long walk if the weather was nice. Plus, in the evenings with my family, I'd do pushups, stretches, lift little hand weights and stuff like that during the commercial breaks of whatever we were watching. Keep pushing, guys, it's totally doable!!

Start: Ht. 5'6", 168 lb ( BMI %tile: 95)    Today: Ht. 5'10", 133 lb (BMI %tile: 23) - In Grade 10, I decided to make a change. I could not keep up with anybody, I weighed as much as my friends who were 6 foot 3, and i was only 5 foot 6. Also, my brother could eat whatever he wanted and weighed 55 lbs less than me. My gym class was awful, and i knew i had to prove the kids in there wrong. So, I lost 40 lbs and ended up at 128. I gained 23 of it back in the fall, but in the past 6 weeks i have lost 18 lbs. My goal is to get back under 130, and it will be done within the next month. I can now fit into 28 jeans, back from the 34 that I wore. If anyone needs help, message me, as i would love to help others who struggled like me.

Start: Ht. 5'4", 180 lb ( BMI %tile: 98)    Today: Ht. 5'4", 145 lb (BMI %tile: 89) - For the first couple of months, I didn't completely change everything at once but I took baby steps! First I started by drinking more water. I bought a 24 oz cup with a lid from walmart and I just drank and drank and drank. Also every time I filled it up I squeezed a lemon into it to alkalize my blood stream (wash out any toxins or junk). I still ate normal food but I didn't eat as much. When I ate cereal I measured the serving sizes and did that with just about everything. I stopped going back for seconds and I stopped whenever I was content (not full). Eventually my mother and I started walking 5 miles a day. The way that I stayed motivated was by getting two of my friends to walk everyday with me after school and that kept me going. Once summer came, it became too hot to walk outside (I live in the South) and we had to by a gym membership. I started taking kick boxing... (view more)

Start: Ht. 6'0", 470 lb ( BMI %tile: 98)    Today: Ht. 6'1", 268 lb (BMI %tile: 98) - Personal Essay
I started my freshman year of high school weighing 480 pounds. It was very tough; I had to deal with teasing, bullying, and horrific harassment. The weight hindered me socially and academically; in fact, I was embarrassed to even attend school most of my freshman year. My grades were horrible and I had an extremely low self-esteem. I couldn’t take being that state anymore; it was too much on me mentally and physically. On certain days I didn’t feel like even living or that I even deserved to. People treated me like an outcast just because I was different from them. That hurt me so much inside; I hated how my life was. I decided to change my life at the end of my sophomore year. My freshman year the coach had approached me about playing but I didn’t want to the end of my sophomore year I approached the coach and said: I think it’s time I join the team.
