when your home and bored with nothing to do DONT i repeat DONT go grazing through the fridge or pantry to eat something.... eating more and more isnt going to help your situation!! ik u said eating makes you happy...... but you have to start eating good foods like fruits veggies and good grain cereals and salad for dinner instead of steak n mashed potatoes. its mostly a mental thing if you dont like the way things are going you have to work hard to tell yourself "i dont need this food" when you're not hungry..... i tell myself that a lot cause when im bored i go to eat n im like WAIT STOP dont eat!!.... also (my friend did this) tape a picture of a supermodel to your pantry door so every time you go in there you'll see this perfect girl and say i wana look like her! haha i tried it and it actually worked for me and i walked away from the pantry ok well im sorry if i wasnt any help for you but i hope i was! my email is sweetann10@cox.net

What kinds of things make you happy? Besides eating. Whatever it is (skate boarding, listeing to music, dancing, haning with friends, whatever...) try replacing your eating binges with your activities. Try having fun. Need someone to talk to, or some weight loss tips? email me at jtrabilsy@yahoo.com

Shaz is right, everytime you feel like you need to eat, ask yourself if you really are hungry. If your not, do something else, like go for a walk, do yoga, something to take up time. But remember, NEVER starve yourself or make yourself throw up. This is a long process, and I hope you will eventually start an exercise program or join a sport for your own physical well being. Good luck.

Hi, it sounds like you are an emmotional eater. I can relate to this, because my dad is always under alot of stress with his work and his solution is to come home and indulge in comfort foods. I know it is hard to have self restraint. Even just today i made myself feel really sick because just at the end of the day i received a terrible papergrade from this teacher and i came home and i just sat there and ate...I blamed it on my teacher but i know its because i need more control of my life. Its hard when you have family deaths and it can lead to serious issues but you have to keep in mind what those family members would want for you - they would want to see you happy and healthy-
If you need any tips feel free to email me, i hope that i can help - NattimArak@aol.com

whenever you feel depressed or sad, never turn to food cause they can't give you answers. i gained lotsa weight doing that. since i am religious i just talk to God a lot about why my firends tease me and stuff. then i go for a long walk trying to relieve myself of depression. walking helps in relieving depression. never forget to pray and ask help from God. TC & God Bless!

hey kate... i had same problem. but i learned that hunger and appetite are not same as craving. Heres a question for you: do you get depressed or nervous if you dont eat the sweets and chocolate? if answer is yes then you are addicted to sweets like a drug like i was. It is like a nervous habit you gotta break sorta like not biting yur nails. heres how to break the habit... for me if i craved somethin sweet or chocolate i would figure out somethin else fun to do like roller bladin or ridin my bike. It had to be somethin active to get rid of nervous energy. Or yuo can munch on carrots or apple slices. at first it was awful and i got really antsy if i didnt eat the sweet. but each time it got easier so i could even eat half of a chocolate and put rest back for next day. I lost 20 pounds and now im muchh happier and i can really control the sweets. anyways,, you can do it too. c ya... maryann
