tea is tea- there's black tea, indian tea, and green tea. they're just tea bags- you know herbs? it tastes good to me but you have to realize that- yeah it helps a tiny bit but not that much that it will do the weight loss for you. i suggested it on this site but now a lot of people are going a little overboard. the amount that it boosts your metabolism is very miniscule so just work hard. i drink it with sugar substitute to help me get my sugar cravings intact but it's not like it'll burn all of the fat off of you!

When I was younger (9-15 yrs) I was overweight. I was 5 feet and 180lbs at my heaviest. I was teased very much in those years, and the harsh comments not only motivated me to lose weight, but also to obtain 2 eating disorders. Anorexia and bulimia. 104 was my lowest weight and I was hospitalized twice for 6 weeks each time. Why am I telling you this? Because I have noticed that some of the postings and replys have had some very unhealthy suggestions. I have fought for over 3 years to get rid of this disease (I am no longer bulimic though) and finally after what has seemed like an eternity of endless battles I am at my goal weight and trying to stay healthy. I just want all of you to be careful. It was the most horrible experience of my life. I just want all of you to be careful. It was the most horrible experience of my life. I actually had to move out of my parents house a while ago because it had put such an emotional strain on all of us. I also lost my friends, had to redo courses in school(do you know how embarrasing it is to be the only gr.11 in a gr. 9 class?), lost my boyfriend of 2 years and possiby did damage to my internal organs which can't be detected yet. PLEASE to all of you ho read this sight... Don't waste your life focusing on weight. It is good to want to be healthy but not at such a cost. Be sensible... some of these suggestions are a little unreal. To be sure about weight loss, talk to your doctor first and have them refer you to a dietician. Then, on your own time, talk to a gym teacher at school about programs they might have, like a weight club or something a litle more one on one and focused on getting in shape, rather then a sports team where the other students are atheletes and have great experience. That will be discouraging. Or, buy a pass to a gym and possibly set up an appointment for a personal trainer. Home workout videos are good too. Please be careful with weight, it could have a major negitive impact on your life. Good luck everyone! (view less)

Okay I know this might not be good and I know this is kind of a dumb question to ask but I will ask it anyway. My cousin she goes up and down on her weight and I asked her how she does it and she sais well I usually cut down to one meal a day and do 30 minutes bike riding and lose like 3-5 pounds a week. Do you think that is good or not?

Hiyas! been doing a work out video for 3 days now! yay, and been eating healthy for 18 days :) So whats this about green tea? Do you just buy it from a supermarket and its just called green tea? Does it taste bad or something or are you not meant to drink very much of it?

Are there weight loss plateaus? Im just wondering because i seem to be loosing weight at an irregular pattern, like i'll loose 5 poinds in one week then only 1 pound the next week, or none at all yet my exercise schedule and eating habits dont change. Im just wondering if thats normal and to be expected.

well- i've been doing a lot better today on my diet and did very good yesterday as well. this week i'm really concentrating a lot on my diet more then my exersize so it'll become more permanent. i want to also get another exersize video other then taebo because i have a lot of taebo tapes but i need a break from the style of the work out because it's getting old. i was thinking about getting donna's "30 days to better abs" or whatever it's titled because it got really great reviews and i'd have a set plan for a month. and that's my trouble area. i want to become really fit because i want to run on track next year and i want to be really great at tennis this year also and look great doing that too. so this week it's the diet and next week i'll focus more on exersize when my diet's down pat because it's important that you have a healthy diet more then how much you exersize because diet is the most % of weight loss...

Thats my goal for today, besides i have nothing better to do. I'm home from school~again! Quick question before i have to go: Is it safe to do anarobic exercise when you are sick (ie. lifting weights and such)? I wish y'all the best of luck of achieving ur goals, and for y'all who are sick i sympathize (myself included). much luv~~ChELLiE

If you want to lose more weight, then you just have to work harder. Instead of doing one cardio session per day, why don't you do two? It will speed up your metabolism and you will burn more calories. I mean...set realistic goals for yourself. If you want to lose 8 pounds in one week, then you are going to have to eat healthily and EXERCISE more than you normally would. I have 10 cardio sessions a week and 3 weight training. I have been doing great and I have been keeping the weight off. I love the way I look now and I love the way I feel. Just please, EXERCISE...!!!!

Hey you guys! I'm SO happy! I was looking through my mom's room for pictures and on the floor I found... Winsor Pilates!!! (3 Videos) I can't wait to start I guess my mom can't either. I've heard great things about it. And I really wanna try the firm too because I was looking at the success stories and boy they were great just like Winsor Pilates so I'm wondering which one is better. I'm guessing that The Firm is easier to do but oh well! Plus I got green tea I'm ready to go =D
