Ht. 5'6", Start: 155 lb, Today: 151 lb (BMI %tile: 85), Goal: 135 lb - Ok. I have no idea how to post tips so I just decided to write on the bulletin board. But if you guys haven't tried this out yet, I suggest you do.
Since most teens don't have a membership to the gym and you guys pretty much only do workouts at home, I would highly suggest doing some youtube videos. There are so many fitness and workout videos on youtube that you could use up 30 minutes of your day to do these exercises and you'll definitely see a difference. I know I did.
First of all, I'm already athletic but I want to build up some muscle mass and look leaner. I go to the gym and lift weights because that is supposed to burn calories better.
So, if you have a computer and internet at home, spend 30 minutes everyday doing youtube videos.
My favorite videos are by Blogilates. She does pop pilates videos and I do her "1000 workout"... (view more)

Ht. 5'5", Start: 209 lb, Today: 203 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 160 lb - Hi, I've been overweight my whole life. I've never been skinny, even when I was younger. I never really wanted to do anything about it until my sophomore year. I gained 20 pounds once I quit softball and I didn't like my weight. Summer of '12 I decided I needed to lose weight because I was switching to a new school and wanted to be thinner. I started to do all there crazy fasts, such as water diets or the rice diet. I need up going from 210 to 290. I started eating regular again and I stayed under 200. I started softball again but I ate bad. I went back up to 209 after Christmas break and decided I needed a new start in this new year. I cut out all junk and am only eating healthy food. I workout 5 days a week. I've been doing this for a week and have lost 6 pounds. I will try to keep you guys posted monthly on my progress. By summer I want to be able to wear a bikini! Wish me luck guys. (:

Ht. 5'6", Start: 230 lb, Today: 225 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 180 lb - So I have lost around 5 pounds. Im eatinga lot healthier and halved my portions and drinking more water. I'm gettin into a regime of walking for at least 30 minutes a day with my dog to start which just to get used to it again. Really happy I found this site so I can share with other people in the same position as me to share my different obstacles during this. Thanks.

Ht. 5'7", Start: 186 lb, Today: 177 lb (BMI %tile: 94), Goal: 135 lb - About a week ago i was 186 lbs, and today I am 177! I could not be happier. I have just about lost one pound per day! I honestly did not change all that much. I simply tried paying attention to when I was actually hungry, and when i was just eating out of boredom. I also try to eat things to raise my metabolism like grapefruit, drink cranberry juice, etc. I try to eat 5-6 small meals or snacks through out the day, and I walk my dogs for about an hour a day, or if i cant, I run on my elliptical for about 30 minutes or so. I just try to get at least 20 minutes of physical activity per day. I am so excited to reach my goals. I have a goal set for 150 by mid april and I am already 1/3 of the way there pretty much! I am so optimistic about my weight loss and I really wish i had done it sooner! I wish the best of luck to all of you like me struggling with being overweight. I hope we can all achieve this together!

Ht. 5'2", Start: 182 lb, Today: 169 lb (BMI %tile: 96), Goal: 140 lb - Ok guys I need to lose some serious weight starting this Monday. I chose Monday because I need to mentally prepare myself. I'm not going to diet but I'm going to eat healthier and less gluten and sugar. I'm gonna start exercising with the insanity workout about 3 times a week and the other two day with be a less intense workout. I really need to lose this weight for myself. I get such low self esteem and confidence that I get depressed and hate my life. I always feel ugly and ill be forever alone even though my friends tell me otherwise. I need to lose this weight so I can be happy and feel pretty. I owe it to myself. Plz reply if u have anysuggestions or tips or inspirational or motivational thoughts

So i just wanted to thank ya`ll for helpin me :) its not very often i get discouraged but when i do it hits hard.So thanks a bunch! from now on im only letting myself have one bad thing a day then it will be every 2 days than 3 then 4 then 5 then 6 then 1once every week :D but in time i will be a 'normal' phisique and ill be able o have the hamburger with extra cheese lettus and pickles with a boatload of ketchup and fries and a milkshake and not have to worry about it :) ill get there! for now ill take it pound by pound,inch by inch :) i have- T minus 4 months and 18 days to lose 12 pounds! i can do it :)i WILL do it!
