hey...I have a QUESTION I HOPE SOME ONE WILL ANSWER!!! I have been trying to lose weight for two weeks. I have heard low fat foods will make you lose weight, but i heard that you will also gain weight? so whats the deal here? I weigh 145 pounds and I'm 5' 6". i want to lose 30 pounds by july...SO i f i cut out sugar and eat ceral, yougurt crackers and low fat stuff will i lose the weight?...GO UCONN...

oh yea i forgot, if u gain muscle from weight training, u can eat MORE calories (up by about 150 calories per meal-if u gain like 5 pounds of muscle). At first u gain muscle but then that muscle will start burning ALL ur extra fat. U probably want to have less body fat and more lean muscle then just plain fat. Also Pilates is a great way to tone ur muscles- esp. ur thighs!

Hey everyone out there who is tryin to lose some weight! i'm not overweight and never have been (i only weigh 108 lbs.) but i came here to give u guys some advice. First if u want to loss weight, DON'T EAT FAT FREE STUFF! why? cauze it is loaded with sugar and your body has to produce all this insulin and then that sugar turns into fat and u start gainin weight. Second, don't eat high-glycemic carbs like potatoes, corn, bread, rice and anything that has carbs. If u really can't go without bread, try Ezekiel bread (in plain or raisin) that u can get a health food store. Third, eat six SMALL meals a day. Say u wanted to weigh a 120 pounds, to figure out how many calories u eat at each meal multiply 120 by 10 (which is 1200 and the amounmt of calories u will eat in a whole day) and then divide by 6 which is 200 calories PER meal (remember ur eatin 6 Small meals here). OK GIRLY THIS ONE'S FOR U........ I actually can lose 1-2 pounds a day if i'm luckey. I eat egg whites for breakfast, for a snack i usually have a special k bar or an apple, for lunch a chicken wrap or salad with a piece of fruit or sum vegetables, snack after i get home normally another piece of friut, and for supper i eat half a cup of rice, vegetables, and a chicken breast. For exercise, i usually jump rope for a little while, and work out on my recumbent bike. Thats what i do for six days straight and than i have a cheat day where i eat whatever i want whenever i want. I know people say it's not a good thing to cheat once ur one a role but ur body gets used to u eating the same food over and over again, so u trick it by eating foods u wouldn't eat while ur on this diet. p.s....last year i lost about 40 lbs but then gained 30 lbs back...is it harder the second time around to lose weight?

It's like this losing weight thing is out of control for me... Well let me share my story, I think it'll explain my situation. When I was about 11 I weighed in at 155 lbs... I couldn't believe how much weight I had put on. So I went on Weight Watchers and got to 138. I stayed at that weight some and then I decided I wanted to be at 110 (at 5'6", that's entirely too small) so I dieted and dieted to get there. Everyone kept telling me how good I was looking as the number on the scale kept getting smaller and smaller. I now weigh 120 and am getting modeling offers. My agent tells me I need to lose around 15 pounds to get anywhere as a model. Being a model has been my dream for my whole life... but 105 pounds?? It's just too small and incredibly unhealthy. Please guys... should I try to lose those 15 lbs and as long as I keep getting my period it's ok? (thats what my agent keeps telling me) I really need some advice... I just don't know what to do. Is it very unhealthy for me to get that small??

i've been doin 100 crunches a day for the past month and eatin healthy and i haven't lost anythin yet!!!!! are there any other quick ways to get a flatter stomach?????PS: has anyone tried the smart start or special k diet???? and does it work???
