oh yea i forgot, if u gain muscle from weight training, u can eat MORE calories (up by about 150 calories per meal-if u gain like 5 pounds of muscle). At first u gain muscle but then that muscle will start burning ALL ur extra fat. U probably want to have less body fat and more lean muscle then just plain fat. Also Pilates is a great way to tone ur muscles- esp. ur thighs!

Annie i have done specialist training... my mum is also a nutrtionist. and yes i have noticed that i am 15, but i am currently in a different training process called ''food technology' i have already passed the tests neccesary to qualify me nutritional advise, or a nutritionist... i currently only deal with kids... it could be easier to talk to someone there own age... i wanted to be a nutritionist, and i put my mind to it... and i did it... i am also going to start training for my pilots lisence in a few weeks, and if all goes well i will be signed up for comercial flight with VSK airlines within 2 or three years... i am not boasting, i am just proving a point... that you can do anyting when you put your mind to it.... the most relevent example to most people here would be in regards to weight.. if you keep it up... the weight will keep down.

I think that the points you made were very very smart actually. Sometimes people think that cutting fat out of their diet will automaticaly help them drop a pants size and What you said should really make people think. I also agree with the other girl that said you need carbs. I think the best thing is probably a balance.. and exersize

nutri, i know that u can't live without carbs but what i meant was to CUT back on ur amount of carbs... not totally erase them from ur life and isn't that what the atkins diet is? that u can't eat carbs for like 2 months? and i don't know that whether or not ur an nutritionist cause ur only 15, u have to go to college to specailize in that... i'm not startin a fight i just wanted to prove my point. goodbye

you are a misslead idiot... you cant cut out carbs... especially complex carbs!! your diet should consist of at least 70% complex carbs, 10% fruit& veg... which is mostly carbs, and 20% protein... all pure carbs will be at least low fat, most are fat free... like rice... and anyway... the body has no ability to store carbs as fat!! you cant live without carbs... atkins wont deney that... and just a fact: mr atkins was obese(300 lbs) when he died... he always was! -------------------- and just incase you think i am just saying what i have heard, i am not... i have done nutritioal training... and am a qualified nutritionist... i usually see kids, as they might find it easier to talk to someone there own age...
