For my New Year's resolution, I am going to lose about 15-25 lbs for a family reunion June 4th. I think that it is a pretty reasonable goal, 5 months to lose it. I just have a problem with self-motivation. I always make sure we have fruit and salad fixings aroung the house, but sometimes I just can't help myself on the cookies and candy we get at Christmas/New Years and later on. I have even tried standing in front of the mirror holding the candy when I have a craving, but that doesn't even help. For the record, I am 5' 7 1/2'' and around 160 lbs. BMI: 24.7

Hi ppl,Im 16 yrs old,6ft,and 206 lbs.So im a bit overweight. The main reason i want to loose weight is for chicks,to be honest.I do know some girls that like me and such, but not the ones i like..lol..But my main problem is i know in my mind i want to loose weight,And i think to myself,'imma do it!',but that just ends up caving in,and i eat more then i should. You would think looking good for girls would be motivation enough, since thats the main reason i want to loose weight, but it never seems to work.I think that i have a big problem on my hands.Wich is why i came to this site,to see people with similar problems, and how they overcome it.So if anybody has any ideas on what i can do,that would be greatly appreciated.thx,~~cheers&peace~~

I just had a baby and before she was born I was 105 and I was pretty active. I ran track and felt good about my body. Now I weigh 127 and I would really like to find a quick, daily plan on how I can shed a few pounds! If any one has any suggestions--please let me know!!

We're ordering Chinese food tonight...it's a new years tradition. What do I do? (Oh and btw, happy new years everyone!!) Today I've had about 300 calories so far, so does that mean I can eat like 700 calories of Chinese food? Is Chinese food high in calories, does anyone know the exact amount? I would guess it is since it's all greasy and fried.

hey everyone,im 5'1 3/4 inches (when you are short every little quarter inch matters)and 132 pounds. i know im not terribly overweight but diabetes and heart disease runs in my family so i really dont want to take any chances. ive been dieting and excercising on and off for 3 years and i really want to end all the drama of trying on clothes and crying when i get home because they dont fit me. my ideal weight is between 105-118 pounds. so i have about 20 pounds to lose. im planning to go on the easiest dietand excercise. im not going to eat any candy, junk food, fast food, or anything fried in oil, and im only going to drink water (because i dont want un nesscessary calories) for about 3 monthes. for excercise i am going to do toning for teens (its a book by Joyce Vedral) every day. please tell me if this sounds unhealthy.*thanks*
