For my New Year's resolution, I am going to lose about 15-25 lbs for a family reunion June 4th. I think that it is a pretty reasonable goal, 5 months to lose it. I just have a problem with self-motivation. I always make sure we have fruit and salad fixings aroung the house, but sometimes I just can't help myself on the cookies and candy we get at Christmas/New Years and later on. I have even tried standing in front of the mirror holding the candy when I have a craving, but that doesn't even help. For the record, I am 5' 7 1/2'' and around 160 lbs. BMI: 24.7

um- your bmi isn't bad, you're not overweight at all....you shouldn't diet- i mean, yess you should have a good diet but don't cut out things all together and eat a low amount of calories and such, just exersize more! tell yourself if you eat that cookie then you're going to have to burn it off before you go to bed!

Hey Grace--I know how tempting it can be...it's all right to reward yourself every once in a while! Eat the fruit and salad but a cookie or a piece of candy won't kill ya! Good luck! & if you keep your mind to it, I'm sure you can do anything! And thanks for the advice you gave me!
