I'm 165 I have not reached my goal weight of 115 yet,but all of your stories have inspirted me too go on and with my goal. I want to be a cheerleader in highschool so I want to lose weight by then, also I don't want to be made fun of in highschool.I heard from my friends older brothers and sisters that the fat kids have it really bad. Hi I am 16 and am 5.2 I am very overweight. I weigh 175 pounds and need to lose weight. I started to gain the weight over winter break when i gained 7 pounds. Now with spring break i am worryed about putting on more weight! I exercize a little but my real problem is how I eat. durring break i eat lots. I need a solution

i was in a healthy weight range but then i after christmas i've been eating everything healthy and non healthy and i've been going skating every night. but it seems not to matter because i've gained 12 pounds since christmas. can someone tell me whats going on? i'm 4'12 110 pounds

Well, I have come to a decision, I have decided that this site is not right for me. Most of you all are in your young teenage years, and since I am older, and there aren't a lot of peole, guys or gals around my age to help me out. Most of you all want diet partners around your own age, and that's completely understandable. I figured I can look other places for weight loss advice, etc. for people my age. Best of luck to all of you in your weight loss goals.

Are granola bars 'bad' for you? Like if I have two a day is that bad. I'm on my 1000 calorie diet and i know i can look on the side of the box for calories but i still want to know by it being in the bread oat and grain food group is it that bad. I'm think of having a diet where i eat the same thing BASICALLY everyday every now and then i will treat myself. I don't eat breakfast because it makes me more hunger by lunch time so sometimes i tend to pig out. So I'm thinking I could eat two granola bars a day one orange (a large orange) and two veggies for din din (din din by the way means dinner.)So how does that diet sound? For dinner today i had greens and corn. Oh and how many calories are in a serving of greens? It not like it comes in a box and the calories are on the side. I must admit I slipped up on my diet today. Usally when i slip up i 'punish' my self by doubling my exercises and by not eating much the next day. Oh i'm looking for a email diet/exercise buddy. So if anyone wants one here i am and just reply and i'll give you my email.

Today is one of the days where i exercise for 40 min. and i can't wait. I exercise at 6 and it now 5:19 in MO. I don't know why i'm sharing this but i love exercising.

ok ppl... we soooo DO NOT listen to j_lynn cuz we know how bad it is to starve ourselves and hurt our metabollism. if you wanna diet, just cut out all sweet or fried or oily foods and exercise more. luv_candy88@hotmail.com

I lived on 500 calories for 1 month and two weeks. that was over last summer. i ate 1 cup pf instant oatmeat for breakfast- 100 calories. a salad for lunch and a salad for dinner and i drank TONS of h2o in between. I lost 30 pounds. I know weigh 120 and i have kept it off but increased my calories to 800 and started doing tae- bo for an hour each day. Its not impossible to live on 500 calories- just not forever. it helps you to get to you goal FAST. its up to you to keep it off. it was worth it. i definetly dont regret it. im only suggesting it to ppl who are miserable like i was.LOTTA LUV- GOOD LUCK-----

Thanx 2 U all who replied. I'll consider your input. I have spring break in a couple of weeks. i plan on going out of town and since i won't be able to exercise as much while i'm out of town do you think it will be safe to take my calories down to 800 for just one simple week? Since it's just one week i don't think it will hurt much.
