I don't want to sound like anybody's mother, but I can't stress enough to get good nutrition. I've read about some athletes such as runners and people who do gymnastics and in those sports, being the thinnest you can be means the better job you can do performing. These athletes don't eat properly, instead they take the easy way and eat all the low calorie drinks and stuff to make themselves skinny, or even worse, they don't eat at all and become anorexic, or they might even turn bulimic. Too bad to burst all your guys' bubble who believe you can get off on 500 calories a day, which is what some of them do, and in their mid 20's, you heard me right BETWEEN 20 and 25 they develope osteoperosis, cronic back pains, and fastly degrading immune systems because they didn't get the proper nutrition. Now, if you want to be super skinny right now and pay for it the rest of your life, go ahead, but it's not worth it for me. Us teenagers have the uncanny ability to not look into our future, so we don't plan ahead, and we don't think of the effects of what we do to our body. And we don't think to what might happen to us, because as far as we know, it's a lifetime away, and really, who needs to think about it? WE DO. I'm forcing you to take a look at what you can do to your body now and what that is gonna make your future like. Do you really want to be in a wheel chair when your 30 because you starved yourself of proper nutrition when you were 15 to get the guy in biology to ask you out, and now, at your school reunion, you find out he married some girl who is 300 pounds. Do you really want to throw your life away, or do you want to take it step by step and help your body for the rest or your life? It's up to you, but remember, you have to live with yourself for a lifetime. Please tell me what you think of this message! (view less)

Hi everyone! Last week I started a new diet. But on friday I got really dizzy and almost fell off the steps. I only eat 1 meal (dinner) that is about 500 calories. I excersize constantly. I should off lost about 2 pounds now and 10 by the end of the month. I know I can stick to it, it's easy. Do you guys think that there is a chance of me becoming anerexic? Do you think I can faint? Well plaese let me know what you think. Thanx

All right J_Lynn I don't want to fight with you but how about you make a list of food for to eat that equals up to 500 calories and lets see if everyone agrees with it. And to make my point clear I didn't say eat a cheese pizza and 5 oranges for a day. I was just saying that would you like to ONLY eat 5 oranges a day. Now lose the attitude. People are getting fed up with it.

Well J_Lynn I really don't like you attitude and I really don't think anyone else in here does either. The F-R-U-I-T that you mentioned is sometimes high it calories too. I looked up a orange and it is about 100 calories for one orange so would you like to eat 5 oranges for the whole day?

ok this is for "me age 13", ok what you are doing sounds great. how long have you been on this diet? See, the thing is you dont truely see results until weeks or even months after starting you diet/workout routine. your body takes time to adjust to changes being made. you MUST be patient- you know its worth it. NEXT QUESTION- are you counting your calories or guessing? and what exactly are you eating?? you need to balance things out- bread-veggies-fruit-dairy
