Ht. 5'8", Start: 228 lb, Today: 203 lb, Goal: 175 lb - Hey Guys, this is my first time posting my own story but ive given some advice to a few of the other posts on here. I had my life style change for about 2 1/2 months now. ive lost 25 pounds and i feel pretty good. I dont notice it as much as my friends and family do. Mostly i wanted to lose weight for myself, not for boys or an image, i have a bigger body structure and curves so i know i will never be "skinny" and i relly dont want to be. I just want to be healthy and toned. Im really excited that there are other teens like me who have made a change and lost alot of weight to better themselves. Im a little low right now because im worried about Thanksgiving and how i will eat. Its not the amount that im worrying about its the actual food. I already kno i wont be pigging out but i also know that Thanksgiving food isnt the greatest for nutrition. Well one question for those people about 2 months into losing weight: Do any of you feel scared to eat at times for fear of gaining weight??

Ht. 5'3", Start: 158 lb, Today: 158 lb, Goal: 110 lb - hey guys, I've been 'losing weight' all my life. Damn,...*sigh*. I guess the main reason why I've never really gotten anywhere is because I don't have anyone to motivate me. I need buddies to help me through this as i help them too. i managed to lose 10 pounds during the summer but gained 5 back *bummer*. Guys? Do low carb diets work? What should the ratio be between carbs and protein? Good Luck everyone!

Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 187 lb, Goal: 165 lb - i've been eating whatever i want to all weekend. but i have a reason. tomorrow is the day i go to the hospital to get my tonsils taken out. i'm not really that scared, maybe a little but its a routine procedure and i should be fine. the pain will be bad though, especially considering i have very large tonsils. so i let myself eat whatever i wanted to because ill be eating popsicles and jello and soups for about a week or two, and if i dont indulge a little bit before, i'll kick myself in the ass when im lying there in pain, starving lol. wish me luck. i hope i lose at least 3 pounds in this time! good luck everyone

Ht. 5'7", Start: 190 lb, Today: 190 lb, Goal: 150 lb - Oh, also, I know working out is good and all, but it's hard for me...I have an INSANELY large chest...not because of excess weight or anything, it just runs in the family. So it makes it really hard for me to be active, plus when I am, it's embarrassing!

I felt really good about myself for a while, but lately I have felt so large and gross...and MUCH less confident. I don't know what to do...I can't stand being in pictures, and I have no control over what goes on Facebook, and I feel like I get small parts in plays because I don't "look right". So I'm really upset...help, someone? I just don't know how to get the motivation to feel confident about myself again!

Ht. 5'4", Start: 300 lb, Today: 295 lb, Goal: 220 lb - Well, fellow blubber busters, my name is Callie and I am 5'4 and I weigh....295 Pounds. I'll repeat- 295 pounds. I am extremely obese and unhappy with my health. So I decided to make a change. 2 weeks ago I started this dance workout DVD called BYou for about an hour and a half each day, and have started eating smarter. And in those 2 weeks I lost 5 pounds! It may not seem like much, but I'm so happy. The DVD gets easier to do each time, and it's fun! I have a long way to go before I reach my healthy weight, but I know I can get there. My goal is to lose 80 pounds in 10 months. I hope to share the experience with you as I continue my journey. And I just have to say that no matter what size you are you can become a healthy you. Just stick with your plan and you'll get there!

Ht. 5'8", Start: 191 lb, Today: 176 lb, Goal: 145 lb - Okay I'm kinda new here but I have been here once before so its kinda like I'm returning. Starting tomorrow I am going on a diet. For breakfast I'm eating a Special K bar. I never have time for anything else. My school's cafeteria isn't the best for lunch (so can I have ideas) and I'll eat what my family is having but less. I haven't had any kind of soda in a while. My problem is I eat tooooo much. Any ideas for this???? And any exercise?? I haven't ran in a while but i plan on starting tomorrow. I have two 5lb weights i use for my arms. I wear a size 13 jeans a large in shirts. If anyone will be willing to give me some help or what not you can email me at xo_kim_my_xo@yahoo.com Thanks.

Ht. 5'3", Start: 184 lb, Today: 182 lb, Goal: 145 lb - Hey all! I've been doing this whole get healthy thing for about a week now. Eating healthy and exercise and I'm feeling great! I wanted to join the Christmas challenge so here I am posting. So by Christmas I'd like to be down to 173. So 9 pounds. I plan on doing the treadmill for 10 mins every other day and the gazelle for 20 mins on the day I don't do the treamill. I also do the ablounge every day and some simple toning exercises every other day. I also will be drinking more water and lots of fruits and veggies! Good luck to everyone else in the Christmas challenge! =D

Ht. 5'6", Start: 166 lb, Today: 159 lb, Goal: 142 lb - Hey well I'm posting just to remind everyone participating in the Challenge that it starts tomorrow. Anyone is welcome to join! Just remember to be reasonable since it is only 5 weeks and to post how you plan on dropping weight and what you will use as a motivator. I have created my calendar for the challenge. I broke up the five weeks into 3 parts. The first 2 weeks I will go to the gym Tuesday, Thurday, and Friday, and do weights on Sunday. Then for the next two weeks I will up that to four days a week of cardio and 2 of weights. and finally the last week will include 4 days of toning plus 1/2 hr of cardio. I am mixing it up to force my body to metabolize fat faster. For a diet I aim to eat as i usually do between 1350-1600 calories. Good luck everyone
