Hey everybody I have some advice if you are looking to lose weight. My mom is a dietition (somebody who tries to help people get into healthier habbits in order to lose weight) and I have some tips for you. Most of you really need to start cutting down on the chips and pop. They are extremely fattening! Try only 1 pop a day and something less fattening than chips as a snack (reduced fat chips, chex mix, or better yet-fruit!) Put your snack in a bowl rather than eating it out of the bag so you are more conscience of how much you are eating. Eat healthy food for breakfast (regular cheerios, toast with jam and no butter, or fruit) For lunch eat a sandwhich without mayo or salad or something. Try eating slower so you won't eat as much. Limit yourself to one snack a day after school. If you have dessert, make it small. Try not to eat too much b4 you go to bed. Also, don't put sugar on your fruit because it is not worth eating the fruit then. Drink lots of water. Celery is great because it takes MORE calories to digest it than are actually in celery so you can eat as much celery as you want. Exercise is VERY important! I you are watching TV do crunches during all of the commercials. Try to set an hour aside of just exercising. It's summer so go rollerblading, bikeing, jogging, walking or swimming! (view less)

Hey everybody my name is Lisa (not really..i dont want anybody f/m school 2 c that I am posting something here) anyway I have lost some weight already. This site has really helped but weight watchers has helped me more. I joined a while ago then had to quit but I went from a pant size 18 1/2 to a size ten (i can wear a six in some pants I guess it depends on what brand it is)I was 150 and now I am 135 so I lost 15 pounds. Hey everyone! If you are trying to loose weight and maybe tighten your stomach up a bit I know this great excercise program that works great. It is called pilates and really works...maybe try to find a local gym that offers it or maybe go to a book store and buy a video and learn...it really works...Good luck!

This is the response from yesterday. My dad took my brother to the doctors, and he was weighed, 150! Is it true that the doctors scale is always right? They measured his height 4'4". The doctor said he was seriously overweight or mildly obese. He needs to stop gaining wieght. When he took off his shirt I was dumbstruck. He has a collassal stomach, and very large rolls. And after the visit we notice that his jeans are too small for him, and we had to stop at the store to buy new ones, I wear 24, but the 28's wouldn't fit him! Mow he wears 30!!! And after that, we went home and ate dinner. He ate three times as more as me plus dessert!!! Now he's watching T.V. I asked him if he wanted to go outside, but he just said, "I'm almost at the boss Chaz, no thanks, but will you do me a favor, get me some chips???" But I just walked out the door. Please Help!!!

Hey,I am not going to tell you how much i way becuase i am to ashamed. I am a ballet dancer and I can not afford to be like this. I mean i have to look at myself in leotards and tights all the time. if anybody has any tips it would be really great thanks!!!Good luck ya'll

For anyone whose interested,if u arent going to the toilet enough (to do a no. 2) eat some licorice. it wont give u the sqirts, just makes u go normally. But it makes you fart, so dont eat it before u r going on a date or somewhere special

I'm so sick of being like this im 5'8 and 140 maybe even 145. I dont like how i look and it makes me uncomfortable. My older sister is 5'6 and she weighs about 115 at the most, whenever i go out with her i always feel that all the attention goes towards her and her incredibly small size 3 waist. It is so unfair, truth be told i wish i could look like her, even if it meant being 5'6. but i cant shrink now its too late, i do however have time to lose weight before we go to the beach and thats what i need help with. I would LOVE to get down to about 120 the closer i am to being 100 lbs the better. So please if you have any diet tips or you want a diet buddy shout me a holla at cheer_n_dance4life@hotmail.com P.s not only that but i cheer and dance usully during the fall- spring season and do jr.lifeguards during the summer and all the other girls have teeny tiny little waists. my parens say ... Last week we went to San Fransisco on vacation. All my little brother (7) did was eat, watch T.V. and eat for 7 days. When we left he was 110 lbs, and when we came back he was 142 lbs!!! Thats more than me!!! I gained weight too, up from 128 to 140!!! I checked out my brothers BMI on this site and it was 40.0 he is suposed to weigh 63lbs max. , so he's 89 lbs overweight. My dad scheduled an appointment at the doc's tommorrow, I'll give out the info tomm. Thank you, Chaz

Hey, my birthday is next week, and I checked the almanac for the average weight for 14 year olds and it says 107 lbs. I heard 50 lbs over the normal weight is overweight, and im only 10 or 15 lbs less than that. I don't feel happy with myself, and would like to lose weight. I have a treadmill, but I can only walk and jog on it without getting tired easily. Dieting has always been hard for me. Any tips? derekl52888@yahoo.com
