Can someone please explain to me something. Everyone is like yes I lost 3 pounds or yes I lost 5 inches okay, so I know 5 inches is 5 inches but whats pounds, what the difference between them two and whats more that you loose pounds or inches? I'm so confused :-I

hi, im very self concious about my weight. alot of my friends are very thin and they eat sooo much unhealthy food! i eat not to badly but im trying to eat healthier. i want to loose about 18 pounds and im wondering how you guys think ni should do it. any tips please!! i just joined a gym last week and have gone about four times a week. thank alot!! by the way you all sound very determinded and i really admire that

i dont know what to do. ive been eating terribly. ive completely fallin off weight watchers. i went to the doctors and it was so bad. i am at risk for so much stuff and youd think with that on my back id right but im not. im seeing a nutritionist monday which im glad because shes putting me on a very strict diet so i can lose weight. i gave up on trying to make bball cuz u have to be able to run a mile in 8 min 30 seconds and i ran it in gym in 12 min 44 seconds. the tryouts are nov 30th and i havent been running so im mad about that but im gonna go to Y and focus more on gettin fit and losing weight as my goal versus killing myself to be able to run the mile in 8 min 30 seconds. i kno my limits and im not gonna be able to acomplish that by then. so im gonna set my new goal to working hard, making softball this spring, and makin bball next year. please send any tips/advice/support.

OK here is my story: I have been pudgy since age 3. I kept getting bigger and BIGGER!!!! Now i am 14, in the 9th grade, 5'7, and I weight about 260. Please help me I can't do it alone!

I've been on here about 3 or 4 times but usually just fade off after a couple of entries. Not anymore though! I weigh 175 as of today and I would like to be down to 130-140ish by Christmas when I go to see my family. Any tips on what y'all have been doing would totally help. And I'll be keepin' posts on here just to remind myself if for no other reason. Thanks!

I'm 5'1, 15 years old and I weigh 186 lbs. I really need some motivation. I eat healthy when I'm at home. It's just when I get to school...There's not much of a selection of healthy food. My school cafeteria serves, pizza, strombolies, lasagna, pasta, chicken pot pie, and many other different fatty foods. And there's nothing that i can really eat that is healthy. Ok, i just had like an awakening of sorts. I have always struggled with my weight. I wanted to be paper/Paris Hilton thin. But i realize that Im big. Not big as in fat, just bigger, Im tall, 5'9", and i dont have a wispy model figure. So if i ever weighed as much as a model "should" then i think i would be dead. So maybe all i really need to do is tone up. I need to start taking care of my body, not attacking it with cookie-dough OR fad diets. So Ive started, Im on the basketball team, pactice once a week, and i am starting on the track team tomorrow. And i walk everywhere, but thats only becuase i just moved and i cant find the bus, EVER. But its all good. And besides, this is my year!!!! Im gonna do it. When i go back to my school and all of my friends next year, I will be happy with my body, and no afraid to show some SKIN!!!!

I am planning on asking my crush of 2 1/2 years to a dance in early spring and I want to lose as much weight as possible before then.I am 5'4 160 pounds and for excersize I have P.E. for 1 hour 40 minutes every other day and I try really hard in that class.
