Question-- One of my friends told me that lifting weights helps you loose weight more quickly then other exercises because it strengthens your muscles alot and you need those to make working out really have an effect. Is she right?

k so today this is waht i had..( keep in mind, my hot chocolate has only 50 cals / cup becuase and is fat free w/ calcium)... i did SUPER bad with my PORTIONS lol.. not bad food but okay.. so bf i had fat free yogurt w/ 1/2 cup kashi go crunch and a hot chocolate with fat free cool whip.... for lunch i had a salad with fat free ranch dressing, fat free croutons (100 cals worth) and a slice of fat free cheese, and then the rest of the day i had 6 CUPS of hot chocolate with fat free cool whip... and 2 sugar free fudgesicles with cool whip too!! and then i had a snack size bag of popcorn thats 97% fat free with fat free butter spray.... do u think i'll gain weight eatting like this? they are low cal foods but i eat so dang much of them

hey y'all,hope ur all good.anyway i kinda need some advice.you see iv bin eatin healthily and i weighed myself yesterday and found that i have lost 5 pounds.but i have a bit of a confession.i started school agin this week and im always hungry when i come home from school.i thought maybe its cos i do quite a few sport.Heres what i have every week.monday-football(1hour),tuesday-netball(1hour)and p.e (we're doin basketball it lasts 1hour 20 mins),wednesday-school basketball club(1 hour)and kickboxin(3 hours),thursday p.e again(1hour 20mins),friday-core p.e.(volleyball 1hour 20 mins)and saturday basketball trainin 3 hours.what im wantin to kno is if i eat more than 1200-1500 calories,will i put on weight??Amal

HEy I have lost 8 pounds since this summer so I am extremly happy and I hope to loose 8 more in the next month I think I can I just need to remember to eat to live not live to eat and I think Ill be fine I gave up pop even though I did cheat and had a spririt earlier in the week but that is all and now I am not having a pop any more and will be at my goal of 135 in 21 weeks if i loose about 2 pounds a week and once i loose 19 pounds i will be at the high end of my healthy weight so I cant wait and really feel inspired today so good luck everyone and email me at sweetie1855@msn.com if you want to chat

Hi! The other night I found my mum's old Susan Powter tape, so I had a look at it last night and ended up doing 1/4 of an hour of it! So I'm going to try and do some every night. I intend on starting swimming again (lol) and maybe something else. I don't know. And also, no chocolate or sweets! I think of it like drugs. JUST SAY NO! lol. Not that simple though... but I'm going to try. By the way, Susan Powter is REALLY inspiring. She makes you really believe you can do it. I read 2 of her books last year that I found which were my mum's. Very inspiring.

hey guys...omg im sooo mad. well i ate really bad this morning. i had 3 bowls of cereal! but;... i dono...i know it IS bad, but it was vanilla almond special k...and i ran 4 miles, walked a mile, and did 400 crunches. so.. is it REALLY bad, or i dono!

Hey everybody! I've been posting on here on and off for a few years now, and each time i have never fully committed myself to what i really want. IT's time now. My new inspiration, other than the fact that this is all for me, is the fact that I have a family reunion coming up in the middle of July, and I want to make a good impression, and first impression for most, since i know hardly none of them. So, by July, I want to have gone from a size 18/XL, to a 9 or so and a L/M shirt. I want to be from 220lbs to about 120-135...anywhere between there is a healthy weight for me. Not only do I need to lose the weight, I long to be healthy. I want to be fit as well when I go. I want to be able to where a two-peice comfortably without thinking im being laughed at.
