Hey! it's me again, and i was just gonna say that to help me with my cravings, i chew gum. It really helps, if u eat sugar or something u always want more, so either eat a little bit and chew gum to get rid of the taste so u're not tempted again, or just chew some gum (sugarless) and it just chew until the craving is gone. It does help.

Today: 170 lb - I am 13 years old, i weigh about 170 and i am a size 13 in juniors. I have been chunky since i was like 9...i used to be pretty skinny before then but u know...i discovered pop and candy. I just wish i can go back and change all that. Sometimes i just hate myself. I have tried dieting but i just cant stick to it at all. I am a pretty shy person so i dont really tell n e body that i am dieting. My mom pressures me to lose weight. I get so mad every time one of my relatives says i am so fat and i need to lose weight. I mean i know that but still, they dont know what its like being me. Just because they r skinny, they dont have to rub it in. My whole family is like body concious. They are like "i am so fat" even tho they weigh like 110 pounds. It just makes me sick that they rub it in so much to make me feel bad. I know they r prolly not trying but they sure are good at doing it n e way. Well my point is...i just wanna try to lose at least 20-30lbs or more at least wen school starts or christmas. Can n e 1 give me some tips or n e thing?

Hi, i've always been chunky, but now it's starting to affect me in sports (and i love sports), and i'm starting to have lower self esteem and stuff. I've tried diets and excersizing more, but i always end up splurging or just saying i'll do it tomorrow. Does anyone know how to lose weight affectively?

Ht. 5'5", Today: 187 lb (BMI %tile: 98) - Hi everyone. I'm 14 almost 15 and ever since I guess about 2nd grade I've been chunky. But know it's just fat. I'm about 5'4 or 5'5 and way 187 lbs. I always get motivated to start my own diet plan and never go through with it. It works for a week or 2 and then I just get tired of it and put it off. I'm rarely made fun of to my face. My mom and dad try to help me but they are overweight as well. I dread wearing shorts, tanktops, and bathingsuits around ppl. I just want to get on a diet and lose some weight. To help you control your snacking portion sizes- If you are having chips or whatever from a big bag put some in a lunch baggie, a nd take some ice water with you. Eat what is in the bag thendrink the water to get rid of the taste in your mouth (which would make you want more) and don't go back for seconds. That way you can enjoy your snack without eating the whole box (something I was guilty of doing before)

To lose weight don't eat when your not hungry. Yes I know that can be very difficult but EVERYTIME you go for something STOP and say out loud- "This *cookie* is *250* calories. It will give me 1 miniute of pleasure but cost me *45* miniutes of hard exercise. Is it worth it?" This has REALLY helped me so I highy reccomend thinking this through everytime you are thinking about eating something when your not hungry. (if you are actually hungry and not just craving something then eat, but other wise ask yourself this and then think again before mindlessly snacking.)
