I am doing a project for school and i have a few questions. If anyone would like to answer them to help me out please do. Several teens in the Us are overweight, why do you think is a problem? When you workout are you working out for a specifi reason such as to lose weight or just to stay fit? Do you think it is necessary to eat healthy? If you were designing a weight control program what would you include? Thanks so much to anyone who answers these questions you will be a great help!!

What do you guys think about all the popular diets out there? Like The Zone, South Beach and Atkins? I am thinking about going on the Zone next summer because i cant do it right now because I am at a boarding school. Theres no way you can eat healthy over here. Imagine eating ALL of your meals in the school dining hall! The food is really good, it's not all yucky or disgusting or anything but its not really healthy. Any advise?

You know one thing I can't stand?? When people who are overweight don't try to do anything about it, do you guys know who im talking about? I thinks its great that people have great self confidence, and don't care what people think of them if they are overweight, but its not just that. I don't think we should be telling teens its okay to be overweight, not because they look bad, but because they are putting themselved at risk for so many health problems and diseases! Who else agrees with me, i mean, I Really don't think teens should say, hey, im overweight, but thats okay... because then they don't do anything about it. We need to get the issue out there that being overweight is not a good thing- its not in any way about looks, but about health! anyone else agree?? (ps, don't get mad at me, im overweight too and im trying to be healthy)

I am so glad that this site is here for teens who all a have one thing in common...A struggle w/their wieght. This site has already deeply inspired me. As of 2 day I took a big step by begining to watch my wieght and everything that goes into my mouth. I just had to get the courage to start watching what I eat..again. I'm planing on drinking LOTS of water to help fill me up along w/smaller portions w/o the side junk (Fries,chips,candy...). The only thing that is an obstecal for me now is making time to exersice. I have a very busy after school schedual and have a heavy load of work for school. So does anyone have any advice to what I can to to make more time 2 exercise? Thanks much LOTS of LOVE, Ash!

how flat is a stomach supposed to be? like ahould it be flatter than the hip bones? should it be even with the ribs or in more? or is it supposed to be sort of round?

ok well i used to be 145 pounds, and i'm 5'1, and then i went down to 119, and this year im already back at 130, but i've joined the track team, and my goal is about 7 more pounds. heres the thing: YOU HAVE TO LOSE THE WEIGHT FOR YOURSELF. forget about your family, forget about boyfriends and girlfriends, forget about friends. DO IT FOR YOURSELF. you can not CAN NOT lose weight if you are not in the right state of mind, and if you don't have the motivation. i'm telling you right now, I WILL LOSE 7 pounds. maybe not for a couple weeks-BUT I WILL. i will not cheat, i will not splurge, i will not stop my diet UNTIL I HAVE REACHED MY GOAL. with every pound i lose, i will be proud of myself, and every day i maintain my weight i will be happy. you guys cant keep putting yourself down! Hey listen i really need some help on how to resist my cravings! I always do so well during the day but during dinner i like get three servings i feel out of control! Sometimes i feel guilty and stop but that is after i already go overboard. Please give me some tips as to what i can do to resist all these horrible cravings that throw me completely off my diet!

I know i shouldnt be posting this and please dont get mad at me but i need some help, is there any website for self mutalation because your overweight? Thats why i do it cuz i think about how overweight i am all the time. :-( i really dont understand it ....i was doing so well and i got down to 225 from 262. well i was on a platue for a while then all of a sudden i started looseing weight again and i was really really happy. well now ...iv gained lbs back....in like 3 days the scale said i got back to 234 and i just dont understand iv been eating well lots of fruit and veg and..im just reversing ...does this happen to anyone else?!? im just really upset its like i cant get past the 230 mark!

I'm so worried! I lost those 38 pounds at Camp Shane (its a weight loss camp for those of you who don't know) and then I lost more when I came home. Well for the last 3 weeks when I went to weight watchers I've been gaining weight. And I know it because I haven't been trying as hard, actually I haven't really tried at all. But it's so hard, but I don't want to gain the 53 pounds back! I can't seem to stay motivated but I know I have to keep moving foward to get to my goal. How do you guys stay motivated? *Ray*Ray*

Im so ready to shed about 50lbs. and I MUST DO IT THIS TIME! I have tried to lose wieght ever since I relized I am over wieght! My family has pointed out to me that I have gained wieght ahd they Know it is hurting me to hear them say that. I was such an atletic person, i played about every sport and did so much till fresh year of HS. This year i have really become upsest w/what I see in the mirror. My mom always tells me that if i lost the wieght i probly could be a modle (wich I dont belive. I just wanna do it because I wanna wear cloths that flatter my figure and not make me wanna cry when I put them on. Im 5"11 and around 200 (wich admitting this breaks my heart)I have gotten that bad.Please help me and if anyone has the same wight loss goal we could work on this 2gether! THANKS LOVE ASH!
