hey guys. I made a deal with my mom yesterday. Since it is getting into summer almost, and I want to be tan when bathing suit weather starts, my mom said that if I lost 20 pounds, it would get my to 200, then I could go tanning and she would pay for it!! I am really excited because I am as white as a ghost. Im not gonna go like 30 minutes every day and look unhealthy dark, just a little tan. it helps to get something to motivate you!! good luck/.

Help!!! I started doing taebo a week ago and I weighed myself today and I gained more pounds! Is that possible? and before doing taebo, I danced (hip-hop), but that time I didn't gain any weight... but I do look better.. please answer.. is it possible? thanx

hey guys. my name is taya. i don't post often, but i visit the site quite a bit. you guys are great and give great advice. i just thought i would share a bit of good news (and hopefully some inspiration). well, back in september i weighed a whopping (sp?) 200+ pounds (i don't know how many stones that is, sorry)! i was at the worst i'd ever been. i think a certain thing "clicked" in me and i just couldn't stand all the fat anymore. i didn't have a terrible life, in fact, my life was going pretty great. i don't know what happened, but i think there is a certain point in being obese, that i just couldn't take it anymore. i was determined to do anything it took to be fit. soooo...i went on a diet and i have lost a little over 50 pounds! it's scary (but awesome) to think that i'm only 3/4 of what i used to be. i can't say it was always easy, but it is totally worth it! i get... hey guys. I just got blood drawn today to see if maybe I have a thyroid problem. I think i might because 1. as hard as I try, I can't lose ANY weight, and if I overeat just a little bit I gain like 2 pounds 2. I haven't gotten my period in over a year (people with slow thyroids have irregular periods) and 3. I'm cold ALL of the time. But I don't have brittle hair or nails, my family doesn't have a history of thyroid problems, I don't get headaches, I'm not extremely tired, and I don't have blindspots, and all of those are also symptoms of a slow thyroid problem. Does anyone have a slow thyroid, and if so, what were your symptoms, did they give you medicine, and did it help you lose weight?

i av bin on a diet 4 bout a month but on/off-so rly jz about 2 week-but i stopped it lst thur and cnt seem 2 get da motivation 2 go bk on it (i stil aint overeatin, i av only been eating between 1800-2100jz eatin 2 much off da rong foodz, and im scared wt i av lost may cum bk on cz it az bin like 6 days of eatin like dis), i only wannid 2 loose weight in da first place bcoz i wz bcomin an "8" insted of my usual "6", i no dat sounds pathetic but i am only 9lbs off bn overweight and want 2 prevent it frm happening. Usually wen on da diet im either 2 busy so miss meals or stuk at home bord munching on 2 much. Plz help me regain da motivation and dnt giv me dat "ur not overweight so p!ss off rubbish" cz im unhappy. wt are ur tips and advice? wot and wen do u eat wen ur dietin on an average day? and ow much weight hav u lost? az 4 exercise i walk evrewer and constantly on ma feet so im active anuff i fink? thnx alot. luv *Ela*

hey i've done pretty good all week (starting sunday) and like 1200 cals a day and ive worked out every day. but today i dont think i did too good. do you guys think i did?? breakfast-light yogurt (70), lunch-1/2 turkey/ham sandwich w/ honey mustard (180) and an orange (i think oranges have like 100??) and then after school i jogged 1 mile and a quarter and did 5 100 meters strides. i did 500 crunches too. then i had 1/2 a banana. then i went to walmart and i ate like way too many grapes, i know their good, but too many isn't good for weight loss right??? and then i had a couple strawberries. then for dinner i had spagetti and meatballs (380) and garlic bread (170). then i had a butterfinger granola bar (chewy bar"....110 cals). i also had calories in things like gum, tums, and ya know..little stuff like that, and mints. did i do okay?? i know not great, but i dono

Morning, guyz! Yup, I'm trying to post every day to keep my mind away from overeating and not exercising hehe. This really keeps me on track. I don't know if I'm going to have time to exercise today, so I'll probably just have time to walk to the bus stop and back, and maybe dance for about half an hour tonight. - For the past few weeks I think my weight has been 171 . . but I haven`t gone down, and I havent went up either. My weight is just like sitting there. Is this what they call "Plateuing" (sorry i cannot spell that word, hopefully you know what i'm trying to say)? If it is .. how do you stop it? Is that a sign that i'm dieting wrong? I'm afraid i'm going to gain something and I don't know what to do. I been eating a good amount of calories, i thought i was doing good, obviously i'm not. = ( Advice please. P.S. - If i'm not the only one who had this problem, can those who did have this problem give me some tips on how to start losing weight again. Thanks.
