=> lucy, i am trying to loose wieght for my holidays, and i have bad posture when i try to do excersise such as walking my lower back aches. how can i improve my posture and loose wieght in 5 weeks

If you have a back ache that persists more than a few weeks, it’s best to see a doctor to have it evaluated and treated. If you have severe back pain, numbness or tingling that you feel in your legs or arms, or back pain that continues even after lying down, then see a doctor right away. After ruling out more serious causes, he or she may refer you to a chiropractor or physical therapist. But occasional lower back aches and pooposturere may simply indicate that your core muscles are weak.

What are “core muscles”? They are the muscles that surround your trunk (abdomen and back) and pelvis. The reason you should consider doing exercises to strengthen these muscles, is that as they get stronger, it will become easier for you to do exercises so that you can lose weight and perform other daily activities more efficiently.

Here are links showing several exercises that can help reduce lower back aches if your core muscles are weak:

Abdominal crunch

Bridge

Single-leg abdominal press

Double-leg abdominal press

Segmental rotation

Quadruped

Modified plank

Side plank

Superman

How do I lose weight and fix my posture?

=> I feel fat and like I have vey bad posture, but people tell me that neather of these things are true. How do I lose weight and fix my posture? Lucy please help me

A simple way to test your posture is the “Wall Test”, outlined below by the Mayo Clinic.

To test your standpostureture, "stand with your head, shoulder blades and buttocks touching a wall, and your heels about two to four inches (five to 10 centimeters) away from the wall. Reach back and slide your hand behind the curve in your lower back, with your palm flat against the wall.

Ideally, you'll feel about one hand's thickness of space between your back and the wall. If there's too much space, tighten your abdominal muscles to flatten the curve in your back. If there's too little space, arch your back so that your hand fits comfortably behind you. Walk away from the wall while maintaining tpostureture. Keep it up throughout your daily activities."

The Mayo articlepostureture also states that stretching and core exercises can hpostureture too. Core exercises are meant to strengthen muscles in the abdomen, back and pelvis. One can see pictures of these core exercises on the Mayo Clinic’s website.

WikiHow lists three short exercises for strengthening the shoulder and upper back muscles that can impostureosture at this link.

Stretching your front muscles while lying on your back over a large exercise ball or couch can also impostureosture.

While laying on your stomach, arch your back and lift up your chest and legs, as if your are flying like a super hero. This will build up your back muscles. Do this as many times as you're able.

Yoga is believed topostureosture. Classes or a good video can guide one in learning some yoga.

Best of all, postureosture can help visually take pounds off a person. Although one doesn’t lose weight just by changinposture posture, it will appear as if you have lost some weight when you are standing and sitting more erect! Improving your appearance throughposture posture can help boost your self esteem and perhaps start you on the path to losing real pounds as well.
