Does anyone but me think that the calculators on this site are a little off. I'm 5'7" (I just found out I grew an inch this year!) and about 285 pounds. It says that a healthy weight for me is 98 to 145 pounds. I mean seriously isn't 98 a little too thin? My friend Christina is about 5 feet and 113 pounds and she has a completly flat stomach and wears an XS! Anyone agree with me? *Ray*Ray*

hey, i try running for an hour everyday, but i get really tired from even just jogging after the first like 2 minutes. So i tried to use my dads stair master which is like that stair thing, and i get tired from that in like 10 min. and i dont burn any calories in that amount of time really, so i just walk two miles a day but i dont burn enough calories in that amount of time. does anyone no any good suggestions?

Alright you guys I just re-read the thing about the "God Bless" you all are right, I got a little carried away. The thing is, normally that wouldn't have phased me, but lately Just Strange has been going on and on and on too me about how she hates it when people say God Bless and it just caught my eye. I hate being the way i am but i don't know whats wrong with me i dont eat too much and i try hard to do alot of exercise but i just keep gaining my friend tells me it looks like im losin weight but im not people look at me like im homeless an stupid and sometimes i just wanna die but i do have some good things to say oe thing i love about myself is my smile no matter how ugly and flabby i am i will always have my smile to enjoy i need a friend.

I was on the Atkins diet for like 2 weeks awhile ago and I lost like 10 or 15 pounds, but I gained it all back. (And more!) I kinda wanted to start it again but my Mom won't let me go on ANY diets at all. She decided diets are unhealthy. She said that I should just try to exercise more and not even change my eating. Do you know how much longer it will take me to lose weight only changing my exercise and not eating too?! Like FOREVER! I tried explaining to her that I want to change my eating too, even if its not a diet but she just doesn't get it. I have a feeling that she thinks that just because I'm going to Camp Shane this year (A weightloss summer camp) that I'm going to magically be dropping pounds, even when I come back, without changing much. My mom lost 20 pounds and a dress size so I'm thinking I could lose like 3 dress sizes - which would be totally awesome! Anyway, sorry I'm rambling on...but my question was is there a way that I can still do something sort of like Atkins, but not so drastic, so that it won't be obvious to my Mom? She buys lots of pasta and stuff though so I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep myself from eating it! Any ideas about the Atkins thing, or convincing my Mom, let me know!
