hi guys, i have lost 18 pounds in 3 months, i still have a long way to go. i weighed 207 now i am 189. i stopped drinking regular soda and now only drink diet soda. my mom quit buying junk food and that has helped the most because if it were here i would eat it. i also only have one helping at meals, no seconds! i'm really tall for my age so i can carry my weight better than some, but it still got out of control. what makes me so angry is that when my mom first took me to her doctor, he said " oh, she's just a big tall girl" and acted like it was no big deal. later my mom found a pediatrician and she basically said the same thing. but i had to go back for a booster shoot and saw a different pediatrician and she agreed that i weighed way too much. at first i was angry that my mom keep bringing up my weight to every doc i saw, but now i'm glad she didn't give up. this doc is great she sees me once a month to weigh me and she is like my biggest cheerleader. last time i lost 9 ponds in one month and she hugged me!!!! she always asks about how i feel about the weight loss and she really cares, sometimes i feel like if i gainred any weight i would disappoint her. but she only wants me to lose 4 pounds a month. because if you lose it too fast it is easier to gain it back. and any more than that is not healthy. i've already lost 6 pounds since i saw her and i can't wait to weighed in now. so if you follow what my doc says, no soda, no junk fod, eat fruit when you crave sweets, walk ( which i dont do) and portion control, one plate of food at meals, take what you can fit on that plate and no more! but i think the biggest thing is support from people who care about you!
