Liz- I tried to leave a comment on ur post, but it didn't work, so this is my suggestion about your dog. I can usually get my dog to play chase with me. I chase her to one end of the house and she chases me back. It's fun and it gets you sprinting. You can also play keep away with a toy by throwing it in the house (not far obviously) and then seeing who can get it first, you or the dog. It's a great work out for both of you! Good luck!

Start: 130 lb, Today: 130 lb - i started dieting to go form 130 to 120 in two weeks, welli made it almost i got to 123, as soon as i did that i ate a lot again thinking that i could now that i lost weight, bummer was that i gained it all back in just two days, back at 130, now i have only two weeks left beofre i go to my miami vacation with friends for spring break and im gonna try again, this time though i wont have the yo yo effect cuz i know just how true it really is, i will post later to let you know if i made it or not, :)

Ht. 5'2", Today: 150 lb (BMI %tile: 96), Goal: 140 lb - Yesterday when I looked in the mirror I thought I really have to go on a diet! I am 5'2 and I weigh 150lb. and I feel heavy! My goal is to loose 10lb. at the end of April. Just to make this diet fun I thought that I could post my goals every week! And to all of you that are currently on a diet, Keep it up!!

I was reading the bulletins, and it seems like the way some of you are trying to lose weight is not the best way. First of all, and this is obvious, i would really cut down or give up pop/chips/unhealthy snacks. if you have a snack, pour it into a bowl, don't eat out of the bag. this way you realize how much you are eating. when you eat fast, you don't always feel full right away, so it is better to slow down. you don't need to feel full all the time. drink a lot of water. a lot of you are just trying to cut down on food, but that's not the best answer, unless you really are over-eating. by eating less food, your body thinks there is not enough food. it will burn muscle first, and save the fat. so only cut down on food if you are eating too much. eat... (no joke, think about it, you walk for longer) but running helps you get in better shape, and there is more time for it. maybe try a run-walk routine. you can also go swimming, rollerblading, biking etc. you need to be active though. try not to eat too late at night, if you feel tempted go brush your teeth. just try to be healthy. you should feel comfortable with your body, because your appearance shouldn't matter, but it feels great to be healthy. i am a few pounds more than i would like, and i just started to pay attention to what i eat, and i have lost weight. One more thing~www.webmd.com has a calculator that tells you approxametly how many calories you burn doing certain exercises. hope this helps!
