Ht. 5'8", Start: 209 lb, Today: 209 lb (BMI %tile: 95), Goal: 160 lb - So I've been overweight for a while, but I was never really THAT bothered by it. But I was looking at my pictures from New Years Eve and I realized that I don't look as good as I thought I did. So I want to start losing weight. I'm joining weight watchers on tuesday because that is when the first meeting starts. But I feel I should probably start working on it now. I need massive help with motivation. It's just so hard to say no to all the junk food. I am in my second year in college. All my friends are pretty skinny but all eat really bad. I have to buy and cook my own food. It's so hard not to pinch in and get some take-out with all my friends or junking out on fries after a night out. Also, we go out a lot which means I'm drinking a lot of alcohol which is also very fattening. I just don't know where to start. I would really appreciate some advice :). When I was in college, I lost a lot of weight just walking around the campus all day long from class to class. That is a good way, to keep your weight down, also when you go out with friends, have your fries just eat a small size and let them have the large size, you just have to control your diet a little bit more than them, but do not have to give up everything. Also, about drinking alcohol to much is never good, be the designated driver instead, have 1 or max 2 if you need to and let your friends know you will be responsible for their safety. Good luck!!!
