GRR i am sooo nervous.. i have a track meet tomorrow!!!.. iknow i can complete the race and all i just dont know what to do with my self lol *spazes out* i always get sooo nervous the day before a meet and i dont know why does any one have any tips in which to get over being nervous, a great breakfast for a good running day, and just all around make me be a faster runner even if its gonna take practice...i mean techniques not just practice every day... also i would greatly appreciate it if any one knows how to get rid of shin splintz i have until like three tomorrow! so please HELP i wont be home from 8-3 or five..im gonna go and reply to yall's posts...

dont think of the pressure just go out there and have fun i usually joke around when stuff like this comes up

Hey. In the morning, eat a bananna. I eat one before I play a soccer game becusae you DONT get cramps and you just feel energetic. As for being nervous, I used to do winter track. I just thought of the race as, (depends what your running.) It will be over in ___ seconds, I'm burning calories, and I'm not gunna die. I hate track meets. I know how you feel, but once its over, youll feel a lot better. As long as you finish the race, then you have no problem. And the people your going to be running against will be just as nervous as you. TRUST ME ON THAT! Okay now for your shin splints. Tonight, take a hot bubble bath and stretch in the shower. It might not cure you 100 % but your feel more relaxed, get a good nights sleep, and youll feel refreshed for tomorrows meet. Good luck!
